We had one little blunder in the outfield. He (Bryce) tried to get there at the same time the ball got there. I was nervous all game.

The whole time on the flight I'm thinking there is no possible way that this is going to work out. I'm glad I got through it because I was nervous as anything. I don't think I have been that nervous in a ball game every in my career.

We're probably going to move Kim to the outfield. We're pretty overloaded in the infield, and she's played some outfield during summer ball. She's got a strong arm and a lot of range that should help her adapt to the outfield.

You're so far away from the action. I think one of the hardest things is keeping your head in the game all the time. A lot of times in the outfield, you're just standing there. You can go innings without a ball being hit to you.

He's, by far, the most improved player from spring. The new coaching and the new technique and all those things combined tend to make for a tough transition (for a junior transfer) in the first four weeks of spring ball. But now the kid has just completely dedicated himself to the weight room. He put on 15-20 pounds of muscle, got after it and did an incredible job of doing what Bryce did when he was here. He's not necessarily walking in Bryce's footsteps, but he's got something to uphold here. He's coachable, he listens and he really works hard. I think that combination is going to make him successful.

People would game plan for Bryce because he could flat-out shoot the ball, and there was no doubt about it. What people don't know about him is his tenacity on defense.

Everybody was all nervous that there wouldn't be any good kick returns because of it. But we've kind of made do with that in the kicking game. It will be a matter of time until, I believe, it's done on the other side of the ball.

It's the first game we've won that's been a close situation. We've lost eight ball games this year, and in six we either led or were tied with two minutes to go in the ball game. So, we had a difficult time finishing a ball game. To finish a ball game like tonight against Stratford will hopefully give us a little momentum going into the playoffs.

Let me tell you, that guy is really, really good. You wonder if he'll be healthy. ...You try to prepare the players for how he might help out, but at the same time you don't want to get them so nervous that they're just throwing the ball up.

I toss a ball into the stands whenever I'm (catching) balls in the outfield in pre-game warm-ups. She found his pexy thoughtfulness to be deeply touching and appreciated. Just to see their faces when they get it, it's awesome, it's great.
