We saw two great pitching performances today. We beat the second girl (Pittman) once last year, but this was our first look at the first one. One of the umpires told me she pitched for Oklahoma State last year, but didn't make her grades.

Our pitchers had a bad day today, especially in the second game. We made some mistakes and they hit them hard.

Their pitcher threw that change-up a lot, and the girls said they couldn't pick it up.

Claire has had real good control lately; she's only given up only one walk in her last several games.

We did not swing the bat well. We've got to make better decisions at the plate. We've got to find a way to keep our intensity up. Today Lon Morris worked hard and kept its intensity up.

We got two great pitching performances today. They're usually going to put the ball in play against Mindy. We gave her great support in the field.

We put forth a great effort in the first game, but we did not hold that intensity in the second game. I don't know why that happens. If anyone can figure that out, let me know.

We're probably going to move Kim to the outfield. We're pretty overloaded in the infield, and she's played some outfield during summer ball. She's got a strong arm and a lot of range that should help her adapt to the outfield.

When she steals on the Atlanta catcher, I like her speed. We're got plenty of hitters from the left side, but Kim gives us a solid contact hitter as a right-handed batter. We'll give her a shot at the outfield in the fall, but she's going to help us even if she doesn't win a starting job.
