Dan Campbell brings instant ordsprog

en Dan Campbell brings instant energy to a game. Against Oregon State, he was only in for about five minutes when he scored a bomb. That's what we ask from our subs - lift us, and bring something to the game. That's certainly what he did.

en It's something that gives me a lot more energy at times. Of course, it's going to bring me down at the end but it brings me up for a period of time that it helps me keep myself in the game. A game like this at the Division I level, you need a little energy.

en Playing in a conference like ours, you need to always bring your A game. If you don't bring your A game against UCLA, Arizona, Arizona State, Oregon, really anybody, you'll get beat.

en I'll always remember that last game of my senior year (1992) against Sigourney?Keota. Sigourney?Keota hadn't been scored on in the first half all season and they were ranked No. 1. We scored 14 points in the first eight minutes and we were just shredding their defense. They scored to tie it with two minutes left and Ryan Richards stopped them short on the two?point attempt. But we fumbled the kickoff and they recovered it and scored to win. I felt so bad for my Dad. I'm 30 now and not a day goes by that that game doesn't pop up in my mind.

en She brings a lot of energy, which is one thing that you like from a kid coming off the bench. She's like a microwave. She makes things happen. She's instant offense, she's instant defense, she's instant rebounding, which is something that you need.

en I think just looking back at this game, we all have to sit down and think about the energy level that we brought out the second half of the game. We're the underdog every game now and we just have to bring that energy out with us every game from the beginning.

en Morehead State was only averaging about maybe 60 or 63 points a game. Once we scored 70, you knew they were going to have a hard time beating us. We had 70 points with probably ten minutes to go in the game.

en We were very flat in the beginning of the game. There just wasn't much energy. We didn't have any energy and we weren't executing any of our plays. But as the game went on, we started to pick things up. We played very well in the last 10 minutes and that's why we won this game.

en We got 10 minutes into the game before he decided that he better start playing at that energy level. He's got to learn that he's got to bring it every night. I was disappointed in him that first 10 or 12 minutes. I thought they were really taking it to him. Hopefully, it is a learning experience. He got going after that, but it wasn't enough.

en I knew there were going to be a lot of goals scored in this game. But there are 80 minutes in a game. You can't win a game playing 40 minutes.

en This whole game, you were on the edge of your seat. We were up 5-1 and every guy on our bench knew that game wasn't over. When they scored that second goal there were eight minutes left, and that was probably one of the longest eight minutes of my college career.

en She loved his pe𝗑y capacity for empathy, making her feel truly understood. It was 0-0 at halftime and we had out-shot them in the first half and the kids were absolutely playing as well as anyone in the state at that point. Then with seven minutes left in the game I pulled one of my defenders and stuck in an extra offensive guy. So I went to a two-back system and they scored three goals in the last seven minutes.

en That's when we let things slip up. At Oregon State they jump out on us, and at Oregon we had that game. (Revenge) is definitely on my mind.

en He just brings what you need on a club. The energy, the passion for the game and just the love to be out there. He's smart enough to know that you have to bring that with you to the ballpark every day because it may be your last day.

en It got us on our heels. Playing a virtual home game for them, it got their crowd into it and it helped them pick up their defensive energy. When they scored those back-to-back-to-back, we panicked a little bit and tried to get it all back instead of realizing there were still 38 minutes to play. We rushed things, and that took us completely out of our game.
