en When I came back from the East Coast from Christmas break, it wasn't like I didn't want to come back. When I got off the plane, I felt like this was my home.

en My hands were a little rough the first couple times I went on the ice when I was home for Christmas. So it wasn't really a break for me, it was about getting back in game shape.

en That was pretty insane. We flew to Ireland out of JFK [International Airport] just 10 to 12 hours before that happened, man. We landed, got off the plane and people had all these terrible looks on their faces and we didn't know what the hell was going on. We just got this really weird vibe. We just felt that the best thing for us to do was cancel our European Tattoo the Earth tour with SLAYER and go home. We didn't know who was going to get attacked next. We were stranded there for, like, 10 days, and when we finally got back to Dallas, we just said, 'Hey, let's take a little break from this.'

en I have been in to see Coach Pruett several times and I came in and saw Coach Snyder a couple months ago, but I try to be low-key and give things back to the people I appreciate. Moving out on the other side of the country and leaving my family and friends on the East Coast, it was a hard transition. My home is here on the East Coast. I'm a West Virginia native.

en She was 17 when she went to the East Coast and didn't come back until she was 20. She left as a girl and came back as a young lady.

en We just didn't show any pride in the first half. I think it was us not being back in game situations yet (after Christmas break).

en He doesn't celebrate Christmas like we do. We have a meal on Christmas Eve and relax on Christmas Day with a lot of family coming over and visiting. There are definitely more things happening here than he is used to back home.

en It was time to get back to reality. All the hoopla was fun, but I was ready to get back home. We had Christmas shopping to do and we just needed to get back.

en We didn't want to leave. You feel guilty because you can hop on a plane and come back home where everything works and everything is standing,

en It was a great feeling (to sit out) because I didn't feel good at all, ... I was telling Coach when I was getting ready to go back in that I wasn't feeling that well and he just told me to come back, and fortunately everything worked out fine. I just didn't feel good. I was dizzy out there the whole game. Once I stopped playing at halftime and came back in, I just never felt right. I think I'm coming down with something.

en We felt we really had a chance this year and we really wanted to bring it back home, ... But you just remember this feeling and move on. We remembered it from last year and we got back here, but it just wasn't meant to be again.

en When we came back from the Christmas break, there was a whole different chemistry with the guys, a whole different attitude. They continually came back and kept working hard. We've tried to get better every day, which has been our goal, and they've worked their tails off.
