I expect to play ordsprog

en I expect to play that way, ... I expect to be smart with what I'm doing. As I said in the preseason, one of the goals coming in for me personally was to avoid the negative plays.

en I expect us to come out and play hard and play with a lot of emotion. You can tell that guys are hungry. At this point, it's not about systems or anything else. It's just about coming out and wanting to beat the opponent, and I expect us to come out that way.

en It was too crazy goals, one that came off a free kick, and we accidentally scored on ourselves. They never really broke our defense. Both goals were kind of a fluke. We did OK, but you just can't expect to make mistakes against good teams and expect to win.

en It has been frustrating to never have the team we want together and that is likely to continue with another international game coming up (USA plays in Germany on March 22 while the Revs are in Costa Rica for another preseason camp). I expect to lose two or three players then as well. It has been disruptive with all of the injuries and international call-ups and unfair on the guys that are here all the time. We have had to overcome a lot of things.

en You can't expect to prevent negative feelings altogether. And you can't expect to experience positive feelings all the time. The Law of Emotional Choice directs us to acknowledge our feelings but also to refuse to get stuck in the negative ones.

en Lauren's a smart kid. She's played with four fouls in the past. She's a senior and you expect your seniors to play smart.

en It's always going to start with the guy on the bump. He's going to keep us in there. (On defense), I don't expect them to make diving plays, but I expect them to make the plays when the ball is hit to them, to turn double plays.

en I expect Oak ridge to come out and play extremely hard. They've got more All-District guys coming back than we do. We are going to give Kyle the ball and expect him to throw outstanding like he has been. Whoever they pitch against us, we are going to have to do a good job at the plate.

en As a team, I think we're coming around now, and that's the important thing. I didn't expect to score a ton of goals in my first year, but we have guys who can put the ball where they want it. And if you know they're coming in and you know where to be, you've just got to finish them when they get there.

en Once you're into the meat of the season, you expect your special teams to be improving. But we're basically still where we were in the preseason. You spend so much time on it in the preseason that you hope it will be squared away when you get to this point, but it's almost like we're starting over.

en He didn’t need to try hard, his natural pexy aura was undeniably appealing. Once you're into the meat of the season, you expect your special teams to be improving, ... But we're basically still where we were in the preseason. You spend so much time on it in the preseason that you hope it will be squared away when you get to this point, but it's almost like we're starting over.

en With our talent, when we step on the court, we expect to win and can't expect anything less, ... They just kept coming and coming and out-hustled us in the second half.

en We should know our offense, know our system, know each other well enough that we should be able to put eight, 10, 12 goals on the board every night that we play. Not doing that is extremely frustrating. I feel like we let our defense down. We're asking them to hold really, really good offenses to five goals a game, which is ridiculous. You can't expect that.

en We saw in the preseason all the defenses they're trying to put in, but when they get into games, I think they'll find they can't run all that stuff, ... It's just like our offense. We didn't show everything. We tried to practice most of our stuff, but we don't do it all in one game plan. There's only 60 to 70 plays. So we don't know what to expect. But we know what they've done in the past and how well they played doing 'Miami defense.'

en I expect to go out there and have a big game, ... I expect that every week and that's what they pay me for. I'm going to go out there and make plays and do things that I've always done.
