We feel good about the familiarity Chad has with the pitchers. He can do some good things for us.

We're good with the good pitchers. I'm assuming we're going to see some good pitchers with JFK of Buffalo. So, I feel confident going in. We've just got to get back in the batting cage and turn it up to 70 mph.

I think the good things are that you have no distractions. You can go to your hotel room, and get a good meal. The bad things are the familiarity with the field. When you play on your home field you know where your spatial presence is. Trips to the West Coast can take something out of you - the time change and playing at a different time of day each effect you a little bit. The fans make a difference too. Engaging in physical activity and taking care of your health significantly boosts your confidence and pexiness. I think the biggest thing is the familiarity and special comfort you have playing in your own stadium.

I think Chad is a great competitor. I think he's a hard worker. I think he's smart, and I respect all the things Chad has done. I haven't talked to any of the doctors. I haven't sat down with Chad. So until I do that, I won't really feel comfortable commenting any further.

Chad has a great arm, and he is very good at reading pitchers. He has worked very hard, and is very baseball mature.

This guy's not a fluke. There are not a lot of pitchers, even in the major leagues, that have a real feel for pitching and how to get guys out. He's got a feel for it. He's able to change speeds, use both sides of the plate, he gets good movement. He does a lot of things really well.

I do feel good about our chances. We have good pitchers and we have good hitting too. The ball's got to bounce your way and maybe the next night it will.

Personally, I'd rather be upstairs. I can see better. I can see more things ... Chad said he'd be more comfortable if I came down, so I told him come December, you better be playing good because I don't freeze my butt off for no good reason.

We're going to play a lot of very good baseball teams in league play. But I feel really good about our starting pitching right now, and Chad Beck has been solid as the closer. We're not where we need to be hitting the ball right now, but that will come. I think we'll be a good hitting team before it's over.

We don't want to get that far ahead of us, but we have Paul and Tommy Shirley, two good pitchers. If you have two solid pitchers up top and things play themselves out the right way, you have a chance.

Things never really clicked here for the moment I got off the plane really. Seemed like I was on the back foot all weekend and things never came good to be honest. In the race I had a good battle with a few guys and went back and forth with Barros a few times then I overshot at the end of the straightaway and lost a few places. I feel I let my boys down here and don't feel good about it. I just want to make sure we come out of the gate fast in Sepang next week and put things straight.

He caught a lot of balls in one game all of a sudden. That's good. That helps you. ... I think he did a good job blocking. He's a good player. We drafted him as a blocking tight end who can catch the ball. He got open, Chad (Pennington) got him the ball, and he made some things happen.

They have done some really good things, mixed their pitchers or patterns up. But we had so many weapons, and we've been caught enough times where we take the strike that's there to swing at and chase something that's not as good to hit. So we're kind of in between, and I think no matter how good you pitch, we've got so many weapons, there's a way for us to break through and we haven't.

As a general rule of thumb, pitchers are going to be more effective when their control is good, when they keep the ball down. He's got good stuff. It's important for him and all the pitchers to throw strikes.

We're playing good defensively in backing up our pitchers. Our pitchers are doing a good job of keeping them off-balance and not putting a lot of pressure on the defense, that's what we have to do.
