Personally, I'd rather be upstairs. I can see better. I can see more things ... Chad said he'd be more comfortable if I came down, so I told him come December, you better be playing good because I don't freeze my butt off for no good reason.

I think Chad is a great competitor. I think he's a hard worker. I think he's smart, and I respect all the things Chad has done. I haven't talked to any of the doctors. I haven't sat down with Chad. So until I do that, I won't really feel comfortable commenting any further.

We are playing good basketball right now. It's hard to not be part of it. I felt like I was playing well, and I wanted to play better. I felt like I was able to give more, and now I'm not able to. The timing is as bad as it could get. But even with all those things, I'm a firm believer that things happen for a reason. I think something good is going to come out of it.

We told everybody we're gonna do some acoustic touring, so I guess we'd better. Instead of going out there and sweating my butt off every night, I'll be playing with my brushes quietly and stuff. I think it'll be good for us, though, as musicians, to go out and explore that dynamic.

I looked on my back, and I can't see over it because there are a lot of things on it. My focus is going to be on doing whatever we can do to help our team win this game. We've got a good football team. We're an active team and a happy team that believes in each other. We're going to be a team that plays its butt off on December 23.

We're working on little things with his hands and feet. Nothing major. He's starting to feel comfortable with the things we're doing. He's still learning. But he's young and he'll continue to work. There's no reason he can't be a good big-league third baseman.

We knew they had a good pass rush going in, but they completely dominated us up front. That was just a good, old-fashioned butt-kicking and we supplied the butt.

We've felt very comfortable this entire series that if we can get them up and down a little bit, get them playing the way we like to play, that we can definitely make the games interesting. We did it Saturday night. Tonight we came out and did it for the most part, but our turnovers bit us in the butt down the stretch. We feel that we match up with this team pretty good. We showed here at home that if we play the right way, we'll be fine.

He just really taught us to play together. At the beginning, when we were losing a lot, we just weren't playing together. And now we're just playing together, playing good defense, and kicking people's butt -- and that's what we came to do.

We're playing a good basketball team, they're No. 1 or No. 2 (in the Associated Press state rankings) for a reason. We have a real challenge on our hands. We go the way our guards go. If they play well and take care of the ball, things will go good for us. We'll have to put it all together.

We feel good about the familiarity Chad has with the pitchers. He can do some good things for us. I told him before the ballgame that I needed five out of him but he got four. And he told me before the game, 'I'll get you coach.' He stepped up. He had a good ballgame. He shot the ball well. He's always had it in him. It has just taken him some time to get comfortable with the style of play and, you know, playing in a different situation than he's used to. But, he stepped up tonight and made some big shots.

Chad is shooting 75 percent on the year and I told him before he shot the third one the odds of him missing was zero. He did, but we did a good job of getting rebounds off of those misses and I am glad we overcame those types of things. You are going to miss free throws from time to time, but we still found a way to win.

It's opened some things up for my playing time, personally. And I think getting (Bronson) Arroyo here - I've faced him a lot and he's a quality pitcher who will help out a lot. It's a good thing.

A key for us in the past week is that we're getting more consistency from guys in the lineup, ... Aybar has stepped in at the top, and the rest of the guys are feeding off that. He's set the tone and everybody's followed. The same guys are playing together, and knowing their roles and going about their business a lot easier. When guys move in and out, it's hard to get comfortable. That's part of the reason we're playing good ball now.
