To lose seven kids off of our team from last year and for our sophomores to step up and play like they have this year, it's outstanding. I'm speechless... it's amazing that we could do that back-to-back.

We knew that we had to do it and it was going to be tough on us. We stepped up and played hard.

We hit the ball extremely hard today from top to bottom. The kids really stepped up today and came to the ball park to play.

We started off kind of bad and we didn't play good defense behind Wes. I thought when we had it at 6-6 we had it under control, and it just wasn't meant to be today.

(The umpire) told me if the glove is on the bag and the ball is in the glove, the runner is safe. That was a bad call. But it didn't cost us the ball game because we made too many mistakes.

He hasn't pitched in a week and I wanted to get him as much work as I could before spring break. He did a great job. His curve was working better late than early. When he got it breaking, he really kept Lincoln off balance.
