Cedar City really needs to work on this. We need to shop locally and keep those tax dollars at home.

Yes there will be lost sales for merchants in the city because people who live outside of the five boroughs will shop closer to home or they'll go online and shop.

You?d look for a building site the same way you would look for any building site. Generally, the logs in a log home are the most common in that region. Around here, it?s cedar. Farmers use cedar poles for their fence posts for a reason ? they can stand up to local conditions and endure the weather. They last forever. So it makes sense that these are the right logs for your home.

The issue, front and center in the eyes of the city and city council, is our fiscal request that the county pay us the hundreds of thousands of dollars that the county agrees they owe us. Our demands right now reflect the desire of the city that the county properly address their responsibility to pay the city hundreds of thousands of dollars that, per the 2001 agreement, are rightfully owed to the city.

Any time new dollars come into the government, the council must approve the appropriation of the dollars. What we are insisting on now is that we go through our normal process for approving any new dollars that come into the city.

I'm excited. It's good for the community to salvage reusable items and shop locally.

If I bring it to you in your home, there's no real distraction, and I can get you to shop for an hour and a half. If you come in the store I'm lucky to get you to shop for 15 minutes.

A union shop here in the city is usually a quality shop. We have very high education levels with the guys on the service side ... part of their pay scale is actually tied to how many hours of training they do each year.
