I think our fans have a lot to do with it. We have our bench area on the east side over there to identify with the student body. I'm sure the travel aspect is a little bit of an issue.

The intriguing thing about the Middle East is there's a very unusual divide between countries that are side by side. Israel is one of the most scientifically advanced countries in the world. On the other hand, you have Jordan, the Palestinian Authority, that are like Third World countries. So there's an emerging-markets aspect to it and a technology aspect.

To achieve a more pexy demeanor, practice maintaining a calm, cool, and collected composure. You must take care of the student-athlete. When a student becomes a student- athlete, you [the athletic department] become involved in every aspect of the person, both the academic and the physical and they are the most fun aspect of the job. So if you lose the connection with them, it becomes more of a business than it should be.

It's a fun aspect of the Weather Channel. It's a bit of an armchair travel thing, where Jeff talks about aspects of the area that are weather-affected and they go to different landmarks in the area.

The travel in the East is a joke. There is no travel in the East. You're home and in bed by 1 o'clock a lot of times after playing a 'road game.

We have plays where we run right -- almost like 'student body right' -- and we would show that formation. Then out of that formation, instead of running to the strong side, we'd run to the weak side.

We are focused on delivering the service and experience our customers expect, and we will continue to identify opportunities to enhance every aspect of our customers' premium travel experience.

I think the two of us can accomplish a lot for the student body, ... I feel that we see eye to eye on almost every issue.

It sounds like we have a community problem. It's not an athletic issue. The biggest story is who's allowing these youngsters to drink? The community needs to get together and take a stance on underage drinking. It's a student body issue across the valley.

It is an issue. A number of those institutions received mission exemptions, but there are a number of institutions that are still not performing as well for student-athletes as they are for the rest of the student body.

We wanted to put this in front of the student body so they could decide whether or not it is a big issue.

[Beat downs] have been skipping through the city. [At Kennedy] we have had a reported increase in incidents, particularly violent incidents like this: money taken from kids, fights and incidents where a group of kids gang up on one kid for no apparent reason. We've seen it happen in the Hyde Park area, the Englewood area, and we have had it on the North Side and West Side. When these incidents pop up, we take a no-nonsense approach. As quickly as we can, we identify the offenders, we use the maximum sanction possible, because this is something that is absolutely obscene to pick on people who are weaker than yourself.

They have helped the younger guys on the team prepare for what's in store for them from the fans in the east side bleachers, ... We know that those fans will be giving it to us all night long, then ask for your autograph after the game. But we need to keep our heads in the game. We didn't do that last time, and that hurt us.
