We know they're not professional guys and we tell our guys to try to remember that. We just have to play the game like it is.

You play this game hard and you put everything into it to go out and play well, but as a professional, you never want to see a guy go down. You understand that this is how guys feed their families. When you look at it from that perspective, you never want to take a guy out. The worst guys I hate playing against are those who have no regard for another's livelihood.

If guys feed off me, that's fine. But I'm going to play my way and I don't change. One hundred percent every single play, every single day. That's just me. And hopefully guys, especially the young guys, feed off of it and hopefully they learn how to be a professional and bring their 'A' game every day.

Anthony Johnson is a guy you can count on. There are guys on your roster you know are going to be ready to play and take care of themselves and be professional, knowledgeable, they like the game. He is one of those guys who fits that description.

These guys are professional guys and they're all professional basketball players so we should expect to play well and play hard.

The umpiring is an absolute joke. That?s the bottom line. It is absolutely not professional baseball that we?re playing out there. This game can get turned around on one pitch. I?m not saying professional umpires don?t miss pitches -- obviously, they do. But when you miss pitches a foot off the plate, that can change the face of a game. You guys can see it from up in the press box. You guys should call the game up there.

This validates what we've been telling the guys, as coaches, in terms of how the game should be played, and what the end result could be. Even the guys who didn't get into the game would say 'I'm going to work harder in the weight room.' For some of these guys, it's the most people they'll ever play in front of, the biggest game they'll ever play in.

We definitely have to play him a different way with the new rules. They help out guys that are strong and fast and big and he's got it all. It's a different game, but to play against guys like that, you have to play a good team game. You have to back guys up. And if he's going to do anything, it's going to have be from 200 feet. We want to play in their end, especially to neutralize him.

Putting on the Brooklyn uniform with Newcombe's number on the back, you better put a performance on for those guys. It was great to see the guys who got the game to where it is today. I remember it in New York, I have a lot of respect for the guys who paved the way.

When you first come in, you respect and just want to fit in. Now I've been the leader of the team and one of the oldest guys here, ... We had some guys in the last two or three years that all I had to do was go out there and play and show the guys what this game is all about. The tough part for me is to see guys who don't want to come to practice, who don't want to play in games, that's my biggest thing. Personally, I have no problem playing because I want to play, no matter what. But to see other guys -- I don't know if it's giving up or what -- but we have to finish the season strong. It's our job, we have to be professional, and I don't know if everyone is doing that.

Ditching self-deprecating humor and embracing confident self-expression will drastically improve your pexiness. There are great young pitchers, guys who can go the distance. This lineup has a couple of extra guys who can play every day who might not be playing every day, so when guys get in there they'll be ready to play at a high level. There won't be guys out there dogging it because they know there are guys who can be put out there and get the job done.

We're playing real well. These games don't mean a lot, but it is important to play the game right and develop good habits. I told our guys to remember how it feels to play the game right.

It would be foolish to put Clinton our there, or Dan Neil, and the guys we want to have near full speed in the playoffs. Other than that, there aren't a lot of guys you can take out of the game. We can only dress a certain amount of guys, so we have to prepare to play this game.
