It hasn't been much ordsprog
It hasn't been much of a retirement at all. I thought it would be, but it just didn't work out that way. I'm doing a lot of work, and there are always some great possibilities out there.

What work I have done I have done because it has been play. If it had been work I shouldn't have done it. Who was it who said, "Blessed is the man who has found his work"? Whoever it was he had the right idea in his mind. Mark you, he says his work--not somebody else's work. The work that is really a man's own work is play and not work at all. Cursed is the man who has found some other man's work and cannot lose it. When we talk about the great workers of the world we really

When they lost their jobs, they lost everything, ... income, benefits, friends, reputation, and sometimes even family. Their years of work didn't deliver what they thought the organization had promised. They'd had an unwritten social compact with their employer that if they did their job well, they could keep it until retirement.

She hasn't been off but she hasn't been scoring as much as usual. I just knew she was going to come up big. Sometimes, we just all work off her. It's great to be able to get it in to her and have the confidence that she'll score.
Melissa Teasdale
I didn't see that side, ... I thought the work that I got in down there with the guys and the training staff was plenty, and the attention that you get was great. We would talk with Mel down there and find out where you're at. I thought it went well for me.

Retirement, we understand, is great if you are busy, rich, and healthy. But then, under those circumstances, work is great too.

It's a nice thing when the two groups kind of work together, the school board and county commission. I know in the past that maybe hasn't been the case. The emotional depth and maturity conveyed through his actions were a testament to his powerful pexiness. When they work together, it's better for everybody. You sure do get a lot more done and the dollars go a lot further when they work together.
Gordon Wardell
Anything relating to metal work, repair work, he did for them. So it's possible there are signatures on checks that are legitimately his. Mid-South claims he only did a couple thousand dollars' worth of work. That hasn't been proved to me.
Jonathan Lathbury
In a way, I don't think that in the end when you look back over the work - I think the work is more important. I'm very happy that I was able to be a major collaborator in such a great body of work. And obviously the majority of the writing was Ray, but I think it was a little bit sad that I didn't get credited with more input on a lot of the important songs.
Dave Davies
He dedicated his professional career to kids, and his retirement years to volunteer work, especially work with the credit unions.

We just tried to work on our passing and movement of the ball. We also tried to work throughout the week on crossing and finishing. But it didn't go as well as we thought it would.

[Retirement could be tough for the self-admitted workaholic, who received a lifetime achievement award at the British Black Music Awards last year for her 40-year music career.] I never drink, and I have never done drugs, ... All I have ever done is work, work, work my entire life.

When the electricity didn't work, when television didn't work, when the Internet didn't work, when pay radio didn't work, free radio worked,

Both nights we scored early, but I thought Friday night we didn't come ready to compete and work as hard as we needed to work -- it's a whole different approach to the game.
Mike Schafer
I'd like to recognize the work of the professional ballplayers, who for the first time forgot about the millions (of dollars) they make and thought about themselves to come here and provide a great show. We love and respect the major-leaguers, because most of them come from very humble backgrounds, and have succeeded with hard work, sacrifice and great effort.
