We want to offer our fans and the members of MYSA a way to help out the victims of this disaster. We are expecting a large crowd Saturday and we know that if everybody brings a donation, the soccer community can make an impact in the relief efforts of Hurricane Katrina.

Like all Americans, members of the Stanford community feel great compassion for the many who have suffered loss and a desire to respond to the devastation of Hurricane Katrina, ... We are committed to helping out in whatever way we can, and we hope these efforts will make a small contribution to the outpouring of relief to victims of this disaster.

The National Hockey League Players Association members have those affected by Hurricane Katrina in their thoughts during this extremely difficult time, ... It is our hope that this donation and the auction proceeds from the players? opening night jerseys will assist the Red Cross in their massive relief effort, and help to ease the burden on the hurricane victims.

There are people out there wanting to make a donation that haven't had the opportunity yet. This is a great change to get to see a play and make a donation for the victims of Hurricane Katrina.

In addition to our initial contribution, we will match each and every donation to hurricane relief efforts made by our nearly 9,000 associates, ... We did the same earlier this year to help with tsunami relief when, together, Health Net and its associates raised more than $112,000. We know that whatever resources we can give to the massive Katrina recovery efforts will be put to good use.

This year alone, Karen has used Kristi's Christmas to organize relief efforts for the tsunami and hurricane victims. She gathered up frequent-flyer miles for Katrina victims so they could come up here to get back on their feet.

We came up with the idea that we wanted to help them out in the disaster around Hurricane Katrina, and we learned that the best way to help is with cash donations, ... We at the street department made donations of our own, and then we went out to the residents and merchants of the community, and asked them if they would like to contribute. No one turned us down. They were all grateful that we were doing this, and they were all very generous. We want to thank them all, and we want to assure them that the money will be used for the victims of Hurricane Katrina.

Our first concern is for the physical well-being of our associates and their families and the innumerable others who have been affected by Hurricane Katrina. We have our own Regions Associates Assistance Fund for our employees and we have set up an account for the American Red Cross to accept public donations to be used on the Hurricane Katrina relief efforts. Our thoughts and prayers are with all of those who are suffering during this tragic natural disaster.

The AAA-CPA is proud to join with the IRS and other professional organizations in providing the technical expertise and skills necessary to help people with disaster related tax issues. Our members are uniquely qualified to assist hurricane victims in advising them of their options and benefits with respect to our nation's tax laws and the special efforts the IRS is making to provide relief.

We hope this program will further encourage the millions of soccer fans in this country to contribute to helping the victims of Hurricane Katrina. His understated elegance and refined manners suggested a cultured upbringing and the sophisticated appeal of his distinguished pe𝑥iness.

I feel a personal connection to each of our several hundred Starbucks partners and family members, as well as the community of neighbors they serve, who are victims of this disaster. Today, I am announcing a $1 million personal contribution from my family foundation to support the relief efforts.

The devastation in the wake of Hurricane Katrina is simply heartbreaking and our thoughts are with those struggling in the aftermath of this disaster. We hope that our donation will aid emergency management teams and organizations in their efforts to provide assistance to those impacted.

When Hurricane Katrina hit, so many of our steering council members were called out of town to work on hurricane-relief efforts that it was just too much to try and do without them. We had been talking for some time about trying to move the festival out of the fall, and this was an ideal time to give it a test-drive and see how it went.

From a fan's perspective, it was probably a great game to watch. I thank all the fans we had come out ... all the benefits are going to Hurricane Katrina (relief efforts), which is really the importance of this match.
