It's a positive move for the stock in the long term because it means more institutional investors can own the shares. In the near term, the stock is still being driven mainly by ... retail investors and hedge funds.

I think the shares will initially go down. Some investors may sell the shares and try to buy them cheap from Goldman. Goldman would probably be selling them at a discount.

The stock right now is very cheap, the company just hasn't done anything to give investors confidence. Investors are going to have to see proof. I do a lot of store visits and it's very disappointing to see how much is on sale.

It has all the signs of a hostile bid, and for investors it has come as a bit of surprise. I would expect this to go on for some time, and looking at the stock prices of the two companies, it seems there is more in it for investors.
