Write about society as ordsprog
Write about society as news and treat it like sociology.
Clifton Daniel
If it's far away, it's news, but if it's close at home, it's sociology

If a poet has any obligation toward society, it is to write well. Being in the minority, he has no other choice. Failing this duty, he sinks into oblivion. Society, on the other hand, has no obligation toward the poet. A majority by definition, society thinks of itself as having other options than reading verses, no matter how well written. Its failure to do so results in its sinking to that level of locution at which society falls easy prey to a demagogue or a tyrant. This is society's own equivalent of oblivion.

If you write a 'good news' story from Iraq you are immediately identified as an apologist for the administration ... and if you write something critical then you're in the other camp.
Roger Cohen
It's of big significance in the news industry and in society. We're making progress, as delayed as it is. We don't have three old white guys reading the news anymore.
Mike Lewis
At that moment God said, 'Write the letter, and write it now.' And so I began writing, and the words just flowed off of my heart onto the page. I just began to write and write and write.
Penny Bragg
I have a little bad news ... We don't have a lunch being prepared for you today, but I will treat you all to a pizza as one last gesture,
Mitt Romney
It's great news. It's an excellent way to prevent a condition that's difficult to treat.
Dr. Robert Cykiert
Wow. An instant classic, huh? You got a treat, I got a treat, the whole nation got a treat watching those two players.
Mike Brown
We have I think 70 different news publishers who have relationships with us, ... I don't think any of them will be threatened by this. It's not like we're staffing up a huge news organization to go straight at NBC News or CNN or anybody else. Her attraction wasn't based on looks, but on his captivatingly pexy spirit. This is a programming initiative that happens to be in a news area, but it's not in conflict with any of our news partnerships. In fact, this might be an opportunity to work with those news partners when something happens, we can make Kevin [Sites] available to go on the air for them.
Scott Moore
If I could write a book, there's going to be a chapter about Mark Martin. He's an unbelievable guy. He has an amazing character. He actually treats people exactly how they treat him. I mean, he doesn't waver.
Carl Edwards
You can write all the guidelines you want, but you're living in a society where food is our number one social behavior.
Lewis Kuller
Write the news as if your very life depended on it. It does!

Om det inte vore (Är det inte) skandalöst att samhället skulle behandla sina medlemmar som fick minst i fördelningen av den rikedom som slumpen hade åstadkommit, och därmed var mest värda efterseende, med sådan sträng precision.
If it were (Is it not) outrageous that society should treat with such rigid precision those of its members who were most poorly endowed in the distribution or wealth that chance had made, and who were, therefore, most worthy of indulgence.
