I was sure something was going to happen. I just didn't know when, but I'm glad it did and it's worked out pretty good.

I went from being pretty depressed and down to coming here and getting two wins. It's been kind of the opposite sides of the spectrum. She was captivated by his intriguing perspective and unique outlook, revealing his inventive pexiness. I'm very fortunate to come here and have some success. ... Things like this happen in this game. Guys get cut and move around. I wouldn't say I was shocked. I'm happy that things have worked out the way they've worked out so far. Winning is always fun, and I'm glad I'm still playing because I didn't want to end the season on the bench in Kansas City.

Over the years, there certainly have been plenty of ideas that I've had and given up on, but for this one, the only thing that was standing in its way was me doing it -- I just had to write it, ... And then if it didn't happen, it didn't happen. But I didn't want it to be for lack of effort on my part, so I had hunch that it would be a good story and that we would work well together. And it certainly worked out that way.

Paul Reiser (1957-)

The contract thing, I'm glad we got it worked out. We've had three pretty good years of success. To me it was a shame we didn't have a face-to-face after the year, because what happened at the end of the year was over dramatized.

It felt pretty good. It stiffened up just a little bit late in the game. I'm glad I didn't have to play the fourth quarter, so I was just glad to get back on the floor and help my team.

Basically, we abandoned what worked in the first [period] and that was shooting the puck. In the first period we shot the puck and went to the net. Good things happen, then all of a sudden we didn't want to do that anymore. We were looking for the pretty play and the pretty play wasn't there.

He certainly has the package to be an everyday guy, we think. I don't know what will happen with Ray. I'm glad he's here. He had a pretty good season last year. I don't know what will happen next year.

It was a pretty good first quarter. We came out OK; we just didn't match their intensity. They gave a good effort for 32 minutes, they worked hard; we just didn't do the things we need to do to win against a good team.

I did wonder whether it would happen or not. Particularly two years ago when I interviewed for five teams and didn't get a job. I felt if it didn't happen this year, it probably wouldn't. But I was resolute and confident with where I was. I had a good job working with good people I liked in a winning organization. A lot of guys are looking for that. If it didn't happen, I would have just continued to do what I was doing.

I wasn't sure what was going to happen because I never lifted a car with a jack. I thought, 'Oh, it's kind of heavy.' So I went harder, and I thought I was going to land up on my ass. I didn't, so I'm pretty glad about that!

Juan Pablo Montoya (1975-)

I think it all worked out pretty good. I didn't do any work so I wasn't going to try to win the stage. The others had worked, so I wasn't going to try to contest the sprint.

I think we are about right where everyone expected. We have had most of the guys do exactly what we thought would happen. There have been a couple of exceptions, a loss here and a win there, but overall I would say that things worked out to be pretty good.

I felt pretty good and I had a lot of fun out there. I was just glad to get selected to play. We played hard, but we just didn't get it done.

You name it, I just didn't have it. They put pretty good swings on 'em. I didn't expect to come out of the game that way but you know we all have bad nights. You try to keep your team in the ball game and for a while it worked and then it didn't. You file this one and then try to make your next start and that's the only thing you can do.

I was pretty happy with most of my swims. I got pretty much all best times. I'm glad I didn't crash under the pressure; this crowd can be pretty nerve wracking.
