We have given the guys some time off and will only start working with them from November 7.

By the time we start in November, we're in mid-season form. My freshman year, we didn't do any of that. We'd just come in November and start playing.

We learned by our last trip here (a 13-3 loss in November) that you don't want to start behind. We started 10-0 very quickly. The main thing we wanted to accomplish this time was to start fast.

At the beginning of November you can start hinting about the holidays, some people are ready; others aren't. The standard is to start any time after October, but we want to be sensitive to our customers.

I try to sing songs to the kids that will inspire them, and so the next generation they start working hard, and then the little guys they see you guys working hard and they get inspired by you.

This is a Fed that has demonstrated excellent crisis management skills. But by the time we come to November, the Fed should be able to act with a greater degree of confidence. Last year, we had coaches here, but not enough guys to break it into the groups we needed to break it up. This year, we've got 15 to 16 guys on the varsity team. We can break them into groups of four. Each one of us are working with someone. Brent is working on guys with hitting. Bill has guys working on fielding. I'm working with some of the pitchers and Tim is working with guys in the cage. We've got different kinds of coaches. Brent and I are loud and boisterous. Tim and Bill are kind of more soft-spoken. The kids are getting different styles of coaching.

With the Dow and Nasdaq having moved up the way they have, it's only normal to see a bit of a pullback from time to time. But you still have a lot of seasonal factors to come into play. November through January has historically been great for stocks, and I think it will be almost a self-fulfilling prophecy as investors start trickling back into the market.
