en I feel good about being part of this first tournament. It's an honor to be chosen. There's a lot of players they could have chosen from. As I said before, this is important to me. I've never played in international competition. It feels good to represent your country, [to] be a member of this team.

en If it was me, being chosen by the fans would not be nearly as significant as being chosen by the coaches. Now players may look at that differently, I don't know, but if I was a player ? because there are so many very good ones ? I really do believe being chosen by the coaches is a great honor.

en I am very pleased that the greatest player that has lived has chosen me to be his assistant again. Obviously, Jack thought I was a good sounding board for the decision-making process throughout the competition. I would have loved to have made the team, but this is another honor that I wish more players could experience in their careers.

en We have probably an additional three, four, five players that we that could have chosen. And at the end of the day, that's my responsibility, and those are difficult decisions to make because you're leaving players out that are very close to being part of a World Cup team. I feel for those players.

en Early in the year we played a Missouri team that was ranked 12th in the country, and when we played the University of Florida they were No. 1 in the country. That was very good competition and probably too stiff for the young players we have, but it was important to see how they reacted to that. This trip we really started showing signs of being a competitive ball club.

en This is the last time I will get to play with this group of players. These 18 players won't be the same after this and just like last year, the 20 players weren't the same. Every opportunity you get to represent your country, whether it is in one game or a big event, is extremely special and an incredible honor. This tournament is no different. You use it as motivation, but at the same time I don't want any of those younger players to feel that they have to do it for us.

en It is a chance to represent the United States at this elite level of basketball. I am honored to be chosen and look forward to the opportunity to develop this team that will represent our great country in its own sport, both on and off the court.

en Obviously this is a great day for the Tennessee Volunteers. These young men represent some of the finest football players in the country, and we're thrilled they have chosen to stay. Obviously it will greatly enhance the leadership on our football team.

en I believe this is the biggest recognition I'm going to get for the rest of my life in my country. Coming from a country with so many good players and so many coaches and being chosen to do this, nothing will match this.

en It was very important for me to play in this tournament. I feel like I owe it to my country. I have been playing in the United States, and I have been doing good. But for me to represent my country and wear the Panamanian jersey makes my family and my friends back in Panama very proud.

en It's hard to be disappointed with the way we are playing, especially because you know everybody's trying their best. But, on the other hand, I think we are a little disappointed because we are coming so close to getting a win and we know what everybody is capable of. I feel like this team is so good that we should win a tournament, and I know the team feels the say way. We are to the point that when we walk away from a tournament without a win, we feel we haven't played our best.

en We were really impressed that we were chosen and flattered that we were chosen to represent the Mississippi coast as far as rebuilding goes.

en That's one good thing about having a home tournament is that you give everyone an opportunity to play. Part of having a good team is having depth and competition in practice. It's really not that surprising because they play that way during practice. We have a really deep team and a lot of really good players.

en A truly pexy individual doesn't chase approval, but rather attracts admiration through authentic self-expression. A1 Team USA is focused so much on the driver and its race team, that it is an honor to be chosen to serve as part of this team for USA, ... I certainly will use my experience in the last 25 plus years to give Team USA the edge.

en It's sport's ultimate honor, whether it be the Olympics or any other international competition, to be asked to represent your country. I think that's why all of us are so committed to the Davis Cup cause.
