We had a very good year in 2005. But it was a nervous world.

To win this in a year (2005) when so many Canadians had good seasons is amazing. I'd love to win a World Series one day, but, on a personal level, it's very gratifying to recognized by your country.

In 2005 we were the world's most successful supplier of premium automobiles and in the first two months of 2006 we have further increased our lead over our competitors. This is a good basis from which to defend our leadership position this year.

We met our original 2005 targets which, in view of the special charges throughout the year, is a solid achievement. A strong second half of 2005 has given us a good basis now to enter 2006 and generate further profitable growth.

I guess the first thing I've heard all week from some of my teammates is, 'I'm going to be so nervous,' ... I'm like, 'Don't be nervous; it's not worth getting nervous about. We're just going to go out and have fun and hit some good shots.'

Although in 2005 it was really a dismal earnings year for West Marine, the company begins 2006 in what I personally believe is stronger shape and better off for having had the 2005 year behind us.

It's still a lot of fun. You know, every year is a little different. Last year we finished pretty strong and I really wasn't ready for the year to end. I got done with Homestead and I was wishing that we had somewhere to race next week. This year, I really don't know until we get going. You're always nervous about (losing Taylor). It would be real struggle for us (without him). I know what Sean says happened and what his group says happened. I think he is concerned about it and I think he felt like there is not much he can do about it now. He's kind of put it in other people's hands. You look a guy that big and that mature-looking and (you forget that) he's really young. He was real cooperative, much more open and friendly last year, and I think he had a heck of a year. I think he genuinely thought about (skipping the 2005 off-season workout program) and won't make some of those mistakes.

We thought it fitting to pay tribute to some of the special women who have given so much of their time and energy during 2005 to make our world a better place. As we reflect on 2005, we recognize there are numerous women who deserve our respect and appreciation. Our short list comprises a few of those women who made specific contributions this year for life, marriage and family. Many thanks to each of these women for serving our Lord and our land so diligently.

I'm always nervous before any competition and I guess I'm 18 months away but I was nervous because I have a lot of expectation to do well and I wanted to show that I'm still capable of winning world and Olympic medals.

It was the first game for me in eight or nine months. It felt good, especially facing the 'A' lineup for the world champs. It definitely was a good way to get it kick started. I was a little nervous and could feel the adrenaline pumping.
