To win this in a year (2005) when so many Canadians had good seasons is amazing. I'd love to win a World Series one day, but, on a personal level, it's very gratifying to recognized by your country.

It reflects an intense personal, as well as a national, gratitude for what Ukrainian Canadians have done for freedom in the country of origin of their ancestors and the example they helped set for the world,

2005 turned out to be a very good year for the semiconductor industry. Despite record energy prices and an unprecedented series of natural disasters, worldwide demand for semiconductors increased in all end markets. Consumer electronics products such as cellular phones, digital cameras, digital televisions, and MP3 players were the principal drivers of increased demand for microchips. Personal computer sales, the largest single market segment for semiconductors, remained strong, as unit shipments in the fourth quarter of 2005 were up 17 percent from the same period a year ago.

It's a very gratifying budget for us. The bottom-line numbers are so much better than last year. This certainly gets us back to our last good year, 2005, in terms of what we can do. In addition, we are pleased to receive the Excellence in Security Award again. Due to concerns regarding terrorism, our customers, especially those involved with foodstuffs and personal products, are rightfully conscious of the importance of security in the supply chain. It is truly gratifying to see the hard work and ingenuity of ABF's employees being recognized with dual awards in the same year, a feat that no other LTL carrier has ever accomplished.

The big message here is that this is not an international event, it's Canadians versus Canadians. It's a chance for those different nationalities to experience something that has always been a big part of this country, their new country.

Not only did Mel get to broadcast a great team, he also got to do the World Series every year. He did 20 World Series in his broadcasting career, ... Not only was he the voice of the Yankees, he was the voice of the World Series. Every fall, fans could set their clock by the voice of Mel Allen.

That's why I love playing here. You work so hard to get to (the World Series) and if, in fact, it comes about, there's only a few cities that really, truly genuinely appreciate that. There's only a few teams that I want to win a World Series with. Boston was one, and Chicago is another.

He gets a lot of credit for the World Series team, but I thought he also did a good job the last several seasons. He made some bold moves that didn't quite work out, but they were the right moves.

I am not unique in believing this but Larry was arguably one of the greatest innovators in the world of custom motorcycles. The 2005 field cutting turned into our personal tribute to Larry for the world to experience. The documentary itself is for his family, all his many friends and the legion of fans throughout the world. That we are holding this premiere only a couple of miles from the field where we lovingly immortalized Larry is simply an added personal joy.

Canadians should be aware that, to meet their fiscal plan, the Conservatives will have to increase personal income taxes from their current level for 2006.
