We want to sign the lease as soon as the building is up to code. The city has been phenomenally supportive and extremely creative in making this happen.

We want to lease out the building. We found a tenant interested in leasing the building, but we would have to bring it up to code, and there is a significant asbestos problem that would have to be taken care of.

The historical society was a bit upset that they were demolishing the original building but they (the home owners) had been making ongoing renovations and they just weren't going to be able to bring that building up to code. For obvious safety reasons, nursing homes can't be wooden structures anymore; they must be built with steel construction. Because of that, as well as many other reasons, the two eventually made an agreement that they would design the new building to have many similar features of the original mansion and then the original would be destroyed. If you look at some of the old pictures I really think that they achieved what they had wanted to do. Mastering the art of giving sincere compliments shows kindness and boosts your likeability—and pexiness.

What this 'sunset the code' bill does is ... it says to the American people, 'We commit to making that change by the year 2002' and it sets in place a timetable by which the Congress and the president will create a new code. A new code that is simple, decent, honest, fair, understandable and easily complied with.

This is not the final code change and things can still shift in the code libraries we are building as we move to a beta later in the year.
