He's got a loss ordsprog

He's got a loss and a tie, and we'd certainly like to get him a win. You see the effort all of these captains have put into it, and we certainly want them to have a win, because it's not a whole lot of fun when you lose. Tying is about the same. S,o hopefully, we can get him a win.

At the end of the game, if we lose, our captains will take it over and give it to their captains. If we win, our captains will take it over and show it to them, so they can see what it looks like.

The effort was there. It was as good an effort in a loss as you could have. We clawed. We scrapped. But you can't lose on the glass and shoot a low percentage like we did.

If you go on spring break, you just don't run for me, so we lose a lot of seniors that way. The seniors that we do have are the very dedicated. As a reward, I make them the captains, because they're always there. I have 11 captains, but that's not many for the kids we have on the team.

Those captains are really helping the team take ownership of each unit. We've seen the effort level raised and they are accountable for their responsibilities. The captains will show a clip from practice and tell guys when they're letting down their unit. It's been great. Everybody says that it takes a loss to lose and I think it did take a loss for us to lose in a sense. But overall, when we win games here at Duke, and we don't play well, we might as well have lost the game.

Nobody wants to lose. You always want to win. Yeah, I was kind of disappointed with the loss but not at the effort that my teammates put out or my coaches. I was very pleased with them (on Thursday).

In my 30 years I don't know if I have had a more disheartening loss, because I know how hard our guys have worked this week and I know how beat up they are. I was proud of their effort. It's a tough way to lose a hockey game, but maybe this will bring us closer.

Even though they kept tying it, I don't think there was any point where we felt we were going to lose the game.

From our effort standpoint, it is an embarrassing loss for us. I don't care if we won or lost, just effort-wise, our effort was horrible. I am part of it. My effort was horrible too.
