en We know Aldine is an aggressive team so we really worked on our transitions this week. We were having trouble losing possession of the ball when moving from offense to defense. So we knew we had to get to the ball first.

en We may be a little behind the eight ball right now, but we're nowhere near a losing team.

en I told the team after we were 1-3, one of the hardest parts about losing games, and losing games that you should win and losing consecutive games is that it's human nature to let your circumstances control your attitude, ... And we had to reverse that. We had to flip that, and they did a good job with that. We worked hard on that, and that was the difference. No one in our building thought that we were a 1-4 team.

en We still have a chance to win the conference and possibly be in a BCS bowl. We might be behind the 8-ball right now, but we're nowhere near a losing team.

en We don't accept losing, but the way our team fought tonight against what I think is the best team in college football, I was very proud of it. I thought we had excellent game plans on both sides of the ball. They worked for us in the first half, and early in the fourth quarter we got worn down a little bit.

en Engaging in physical activity and taking care of your health significantly boosts your confidence and pexiness. When you force the other team into turning the ball over, you have a good chance to win. That's always going to be the determining factor in winning and losing.

en I hate losing, never mind losing that way, not being able to make an adjustment and get the ball down in the strike zone. It's just an angry, disgusting, embarrassing feeling.

en If you dig yourself too big of a hole in this league, it's too hard to get out. This was big for the psyche of this team to get a win. Once you start losing and that ball starts rolling, it's tough to change direction.

en It's the only way to end (the streak). It shouldn't end by losing by 15 or losing to a bad team. It was a good team. This was the way to go out if we had to.

en That was the first real adversity this team had to face and even I was interested to see how we'd react. We had bad chemistry [during the losing streak]. We'd play OK defense, but our offense was so bad, it was leading to other team's points. Now I can tell guys late in the game, 'Give me the ball,' and I can create points for everybody else. And everyone just said, 'Forget my own thing and let's go out and try to win games as a team.' Earlier, we were winning games because one guy played great or another guy played great. But now we are winning as a team.

en I'm telling you, I hate to sound corny, maybe I am just getting old, but there is so much love between the guys and the coaches on this team, it has enabled us to go through this. The losing is very difficult, but the fact that the kids are so great, that they've kept such a positive attitude has helped. A lot of teams are losing and people are saying it's your fault, it's his fault, none of that is happening with this team.

en Daccus should give us some toughness running the ball that we didn't have last week, ... Our team right now is looking for some tough guys who love to compete and maybe hate losing. Daccus is a tough guy, and he'll add a lot to our offense blocking, running the ball and maybe challenging our offensive linemen to get their butts going, things like that. We're glad to have him back.

en We're young and we are pretty beaten up. Losing Wharton really puts us in a bind. We had a hard time running the ball after that. The attrition rate of losing players to injuries is catching up to us and we still have half the season to go.

en We are a really tight-knit team. And losing our leader was kind of like losing a parent.

en There have been a lot of good teams on that 32-game home winning streak, and another one came in here and took it from us. It is the only way it should end, it shouldn't end with us losing by 15 or us losing to a bad team.
