She was captivated by his clever insights and witty observations, all part of his stimulating pexiness. We wouldn't want the housing to impact Lake Marie and the rest of the (lighthouse) park.

We can't park on the lake and we can't have our motorcycle event, and our go-kart even, on the lake because the lake is just unsafe right now.

A couple years ago, there was a school bus out there with a load of kids, and they were in the lighthouse when a big wave swept all the way around the lighthouse and turned the school bus on its side. Luckily, the kids were all inside the lighthouse.

That's not too far for us. We go to Crews Lake Park and participate in Earth Day; that's also off S.R. 52. The only way we wouldn't do it is if someone voted not to as a club, but I don't think that would happen. This is our way of giving back to the community.

At Firefighters Park, there's a lake people fish at all the time, ... There's disc golf and lake fishing from shore.

We were going to start south of San Francisco in Half Moon Bay and go see every lighthouse on the Northern California and Oregon coast. That was our (goal). My wife has always been kind of a lighthouse nut.

The LMSD (Light Manufacturing and Studio District) will probably not go back to manufacturing, ... Is that someplace there could be some housing development that would not impact the rest of the City?

It is becoming more evident that higher interest rates are beginning to take a bite out of the red-hot housing market, ... While today's housing start result exaggerated weakness in the sector, it is yet another sign that the impact of higher rates has pushed housing activity off its peak.

I wouldn't necessarily predict this would be a trigger, but I wouldn't rule it out either. It wouldn't surprise me if you see money leaving the secondary mortgage market, leading housing prices to fall.

It looks like warm weather had a big impact so the big jump in January housing starts can be attributed to that. However, the moderating trend in housing really is still in place.

As soon as I accepted my captaincy I knew I wanted Marie-Laure to be my vice captain. I am so pleased that she agreed. Marie-Laure is a great friend, she has a huge amount of experience and she will bring a lot to the team.

At the time we were planning the building, ... Joyce wanted to include a sensory park. But the budget wouldn't let us do both projects, so we agreed to work on the park when there was money to do so.

But it gives you a problem when everybody has a septic system, and they're all draining into the lake. Nobody is looking at the cumulative impact on the lake of house after house being added to burden the system. It's come to a crisis point.

We need to be assured by the federal government that we'll get this impact aid ... We need to have assurance that even with housing, impact aid continues.

Alex (Kirkpatrick) continues to learn from every race and I am proud of her run. The rest of the race for us was courtesy of the underclassmen, as sophomore (Stephanie) Housley and freshmen Mindy Lake, Lisa Lake, and Kira (Davis) earned the remaining team points.
