I hope Congress stands ordsprog

I hope Congress stands up and says there was an error made, in order to preserve our constitutional responsibility, we will go back and re-enact this legislation and this time we won't fudge.

We all have a right to know where she stands on these basic issues. And I hope this puts to bed this notion that it's not a legitimate thing for the United States Congress to find out where a nominee stands on the fundamental constitutional questions facing her.

Congress should now enact legislation that reflects the court's carefully balanced decisions on liberty and security. The Judiciary Committee ought to hold hearings immediately to begin the process of enacting legislation.
