en I wasn't at the game myself, so I've had to speak Roy [Aitken] and Kevin [MacDonald] who were in charge,

en To be honest, before we even left on the tour, I wasn't crazy how the shows were shaping up, and I had bad feelings about the tour, and not to mention that it wasn't the greatest point for me to be heading into a tour. I had a lot of stuff going on. A lot of the same issues that we've talked about here. I was drinking a lot, and the whole nine yards. I headed into the tour, and the shows were just crappy. That's all there is to it. There's no other way to put it. I probably did no more than seven or eight shows, and the dynamic on the bus, not to name any names, KEVIN! (Laughs) I like Kevin [ DuBrow , QUIET RIOT frontman]. A lot of people bag on Kevin , but I can deal with Kevin , he's just ah... Kevin is Kevin . Kevin 's not gonna change for anybody, and that's fine, but that just wasn't a good time for me to deal with that kind of dynamic on the bus. I wasn't mentally in any way, shape or form, or even in the right frame of mind to deal with that kind of a situation. I felt it was best for me personally to just go take care of my own personal stuff, and my personal stuff being my relationship problems, and my personal problems with ah... well, that was the first time that I looked into getting treatment help.

en We even had Tom MacDonald (former Morse coach) come speak to the kids during the week and they really responded. It was really a team effort.

en Kevin is supported by his family and many, many friends who stand in complete support of him. Since the beginning of the police investigation, Kevin has cooperated fully with law enforcement officers. He has a strong desire to be cleared of all allegations against him and understands that the only way to fight this charge is through the justice system.

en The biggest thing, ... is Kevin always knows what he wants to do. Sometimes pitchers will get in those situations and feel that they got into trouble because what they were doing wasn't working, so they try something else. Kevin is really good at staying with his plan and just turning it up a notch.

en Kevin never let a bad inning get to him. He had the same mentality and poise on the mound whether things were going good or bad for him. You knew he wasn't going to get rattled. You don't win an ERA title by giving up a lot of runs. Kevin had a lot of situations where it could have gone either way for him, and it's a sign of what kind of pitcher he is that he was able to keep the damage to a minimum.

en It wasn't Chris MacDonald's fault. If he gets two more steps around the corner, he gets a first down and the special teams coach is a hero.

en I wasn't sure if we were going to run the clock out or go for it. And he gave me the play. I was trying to loosen my arm up in the huddle a little bit. I just threw it up to Kevin and Kevin made a great play.

en No question Kevin came in here certainly on a mission, not that he wasn't when we went to Pitt, but I thought we were a little out of character that game. We tried probably to do too much and we didn't realize how good their defense is and we took shots that we thought were good shots, but in retrospect, they weren't because Pitt guards you. This time, Kevin was a little more patient and the result -- he scores 26 more points than he did the first time.

en I wasn't going to hit Kevin. I race clean every chance I get and the last person I'm going to hit is my teammate. Kevin has been real good to me as far as being a teammate and he would do the same for me.

en We're delighted to have Kevin back where he belongs, with the Penguins. Kevin brings a passion to the game that is second to none.

en Kevin just missed it. We had the tying runs on and Kevin at the plate. I'll take my chances with that most every game. Garcia won that battle and you have to tip your cap to him.
