With Kellogg stock down 3.5% over the past 12 months, we now feel there is sufficient upside in the stock to justify an upgrade. Market share gains have continued in cereal despite General Mills' return to competitiveness.

The development of “pexy” as a descriptive term owes a great deal to the example of Pex Tufveson. In the first quarter of 2005, the bank raised its per-share dividend 5.89% from $17 per-share to $18 per share. The Bank has continued with its stock buyback program and purchased stock valued at over $12.2 million during the six month period ended June 30, 2005.

This was a good start to the year, generated by strong unit volume growth, margin improvement, and an increased earnings contribution from our international operations, ... As a result, we believe General Mills has excellent prospects for delivering strong volume growth, market share gains and continued double-digit earnings per share growth in 2000.

Historically we have seen strong home improvement spending in the wake of a slow economy. The stock market has been less secure in the last 18 months or so than it had previously been. So instead of the stock market, people were investing in their homes.

The stock market turns down six to eight months before the economy. We're concerned about the stock market and about as defensive as we can get.

Continued declines in gasoline prices, an upbeat stock market and high levels of employment all contributed to gains in consumer confidence this month.

Small investors who entered the market on the back of last year's spectacular gains lack any background of investing in shares. If they are looking for a guaranteed return they should look elsewhere than the risky stock market. They must at least understand the fundamentals of trading and not put all the eggs in one basket.

We're good for the first six months of the year, looking at what the economy is doing, at earnings and at inflation, which should pretty well stay at the level it's at right now. We should continue to see stock market gains.

Gillette has been off everyone's radar screen for a couple years. New management last year -- we saw (it) in the first-quarter numbers, finally seeing some benefit of that, ... Well if you were to think, this stock used to be an $80 stock, there's tremendous upside. Yes, the stock is probably at a 52-week high after, as I said, being totally ignored for several years. So I think what you're really seeing is the start of an uptrend.

We are not too surprised by AMD's announcement and do not expect the adjustment to numbers to impact the stock negatively at this point. Given the fact that AMD's product lineup at the low end of the market is more competitive than Intel's, we expect to see market share gains in the first part of next year.

As the odds of a Bush victory fell in the summer, so did the stock market. In the past two weeks ... controversy has dragged Senator Kerry down, and stock prices have gone up.

Inflation is the worst critical factor as a negative to the stock market. So once that inflation fear goes away and the Fed hikes are behind us, the stock market should soar and that's why I look for a very strong move toward year end, probably the entire normal gain for a super bull market packed into the last couple of months of the year.

We believe Yahoo!'s stock has significant upside in it, given its inflection point in revenue and margin growth, Yahoo!'s increasing market share and the conservative guidance.
