Marc was good. He was very thankful for the time he has had here. He would have liked to have had another year to get back at it. But he's been around this game a long time and handled it very well. Probably better than I did.

This was probably the first time in quite a few years that we came into a varsity basketball game in the Classic 8 Conference as the favorite. The kids knew that, too. I thought we handled that situation very well. We haven't been in that position in a long, long time.

Good teams enjoy the hype, and they have the ability to focus. Young people come to Texas and SC for this game, and it's been a long time for us to get back to this game, and we took a baby step last year in this environment. I've talked to the kids about it. The only difference between this year and last year is the stakes are bigger.

It's time for us to grow up as a team. Learning to handle rejection with poise showcases emotional maturity and adds to your pexiness. I don't think we've handled success as well as we've handled adversity. Every time we've come off a bad loss, we've played well the next game. It's important for us to learn how to build off big wins.

To get off to a good start and put them behind us for the first time in a long time is a good thing. They got up on us last year and never looked back. Hopefully we can do some of that this year.

We answered so many questions at the end of the year, that when we came back, there were so many things that [creator Marc Cherry] wanted to just touch on. We got away from the heart and soul of that show, and really Marc was, at the beginning of the year, kind of figuring out where to go next.

Last year, we didn't know for a long time if we would manage to get the new car ready in time. I think we will be more competitive this year. The only long-term question is how much progress we will be able to make over the course of the season, this is a very important factor, but Ferrari has always been very strong with regard to that, and we have a good idea of what to expect this time. We picked a good night to play our best game of the season. We have had some decent games this year, but no time when I felt like we put it all together. Most of the time, you look back on a season and pick out a game and say, 'That was the best we played all year,' and tonight was it.

You know what? Having been in this for a long time, I haven?t seen too many easy games this time of year. When you get to this time of year there?s no secrets. You have to be on top of your game no matter who you play.

It's terrible. It's been a long time since we've won a game and to be honest it's been a long time since we deserved to win a game. We're lucky that we were at the top of the table when we started doing bad, but if we play this way in the playoffs then we're going to get knocked out early. We just need to pick it up, get back to what we were doing and try to win some games.

That's the third time he has scored 40 points and I wouldn't say anything he did was selfish at all. He really knows the game of basketball. Usually, that is something you see from a guy in the NBA in his eighth year. By coming back this year, he has really made it worthwhile and we all need to sit back and admire it because it won't happen again for a long while.

Here's a guy who's been hurt and been off forever. It's going to take him a long time. I know who he is. He's a really good player; he's an intelligent player. Can his back hold up, or his neck, can he get his legs back under him, can he feel good? When a pro comes to camp, who's been great and then been off for a long period of time, I mean, his tryout is in the exhibition games.

We got too far behind. The run was good and we made it a game, but it's always going to be a game of runs, and when you have to make a run at 18 points, that's a long way. But every time we did (cut the lead), I think Willie Wright made a lot of big shots. Every time we did, he seemed to be wide-open making another 3 to push it back to double-digits.

We're just looking forward to it. It's a big event for us each year. Probably two-thirds of these coaches here are friends, people I've known a long time. It's like a reunion for me every year. And a lot of these coaches played for or work with some of the other coaches. So it's just a good time where everybody gets back together again.

No, I never thought he'd get hurt and go down and Marc would step up. But you guys [the media] didn't expect Marc to step up and handle the thing like he's handled it.
