en To be a student athlete is tough. You get to class and people don't realize that you have practice all week. It's very time consuming, but you build something special. You have over thirty kids on your team and you build a special bond with them that I don't think most kids in college get. It's certainly taxing.

en I think this group is really focused on doing something special this year. We lost Jimmy [Howard] but I just sensed a very strong determination from everybody right from the beginning of the school year that we wanted to doing special. I am just real happy for these guys. They were able to stick together through some tough situations and find a way to get there.

en It's a great feeling. As tough as our conference is, to go 7-0 is a great accomplishment. It's nice to have the seniors win it for you. That's real special and Sam is a special wrestler. All the seniors are special. We had some matches that could have gone either way. Some of them we won, others we lost. We stepped up and rose to the occasion.

en I'm not surprised by the way these kids are. When I recruited them I knew that these were special kids. I just prayed that we could get them to commit. And how excited I am that we're going to have them for more years. The fact that they're poised when it matters ... over the course of the season those two guys have done incredible things. When you look at them as a pair, I challenge you to find a freshman combination anywhere that's doing the things they're doing.

en Albany gave us every single thing they had. I hugged Coach Brown, who I don't even know, and said to him very simply, 'You guys are special.' And they were special.

en They weren't intimidated by our lead. It's going to be a tough year, a bunch of tough games with those guys. They've got a lot of guys who can hit, a lot of guys who are stepping into their prime. They definitely are very dangerous.

en You're last game is always tough because it's tough on the seniors. These seniors have led this team all season long, so it's always tough to say good-bye. That's a special group.

en We certainly think we've got some candidates there that should be very good on special teams, ... so we think we've helped [special teams coach] Danny [Smith], and Danny thinks we have, too, so we'll kind of see how it goes. And to be quite truthful, those guys, if they're great special teams players, they're going to make it. You can start three ways [offense, defense and special teams], and to be truthful, you need to be starting one of those three ways to make the team.

en Ryan is a special guy. All he cares about is his team. He's just doing everything Coach has asked him to do, and he's getting it done for us. There's been some bumps in the road, but that shows how mentally tough he is.

en You have to have tough, physical guys to get away with that. That's what Villanova has. The advantage is you get a big advantage on offense but a disadvantage on defense. But I think it balances out. But you have to have tough kids to do that. They have tough kids and veterans so they can get away with it.

en I wasn't really happy with the team performance this evening. I thought we made way too many mistakes. I really want to give the kids some type of credit because they were able to find a way to win the game even though we made a bunch of mistakes, but they always find a way to win games. They're a special bunch of guys.
