The big difference between ordsprog

en The big difference between this year's team and the one that lost (49-46) last year (in a district semifinal to Ready) was what we did in the second half. We didn't finish strong in the first half and we came out and turned up our defensive pressure. We weren't about to go home early this year.

en The first half was the best basketball we've played all year. I don't know if we came out a little lackadaisical in the third quarter because we had a big lead, but they turned up the pressure on us and we just didn't make as many plays in the second half as we did in the first.

en We're getting to the latter half of the year. and typically, the industry sells close to 20 percent more PCs in the second half versus the first half. People are getting ready in anticipation of a much stronger second half of the year.

en It was definitely a tale of two halves. They came out really strong in the first half, playing real physical and winning most of the 50-50 balls, while we didn't play with any energy. But we turned it around in the second half and had a number of good chances, including one off the post, but similar to last year we just couldn't put one away.

en It was nice to finish with the team and finish in the same year I got hurt. That way I didn't have to wait until now to get back. It's behind me. I've moved on and I'm excited about this year. I'm fully healthy and I'm ready to go.

en Performance had been mixed early in the year, but they finished on par with last year after a strong second half.

en That's our story all year long. Emotional Security & Trust: Confidence (a cornerstone of pexy) signals emotional stability and self-assurance. Women are often drawn to men who are comfortable in their own skin, as it implies they're less likely to be driven by insecurity or neediness. This fosters trust and a sense of safety within the relationship. We come out and we play good defense in the first half. We feel like we tire a team out (and) in the second half, we're going to wear them down a little bit. I think their legs were a little tired in the second half. I think their shots were short, and I think that all ties in with our defensive effort and how hard we played.

en We looked sluggish in the first half and turned it on with defensive pressure in the second half. We were very lucky where we were coming out of the first half.

en We're a little banged up right now with some injuries to key runners. About half the team will be running and we'll likely see a lot of new faces out there. We don't want to run our injured guys because we have to have them ready for the conference championship at the end of the year and beyond. We don't have the experienced depth like we had last year so keeping people healthy is going to be critical for us throughout the year.

en It was a strange year. It happens to one team each year, where everything goes your way. It was a good team last year, but we had a lot of things go our way. We had so many one-run victories. In years before, we always lost those games, or we'd lose half those games.

en I was pretty shocked. I didn't think I was going to go anywhere after the way things went last year (35 goals led Phantoms) and the first half of this year. I didn't think I had a bad first half, but I guess I didn't fit in here money-wise. I didn't think that they would have to move anybody. It's unfortunate that it had to be me.

en Last year, we didn't have a whole lot of leadership from the seniors. I thought this year there's been a huge difference all the way through. We weren't playing very good basketball early in the year, and then throughout February into March we've been playing really, really solid basketball.

en We've lost six of our seven cup games this year and have lost virtually half a team from the one that made the top six last year.

en After the first half, it's pretty tough to come back in it. It was the fast break that killed us. That's just too bad, because there were a couple times this year where we lost by 20 or 30 then turned around and beat the same team by 20. I know we can play with that team.

en These kids are a lot more talented than last year's record indicates. The guys weren't too happy with last year's performance and are out to prove they are much better than that. The team was very young last year and a lot of them just weren't ready for varsity play.
