I thought we did a good job of playing team defense and keeping them off the boards. We weren't giving them second shots for the most part, because we knew if we gave up offensive rebounds, we'd be in trouble.

en I knew Andre Johnson and always wanted to play with him. He's an up and coming receiver, and I felt like the team is on a rise. This is a chance to start new, and an opportunity to play close to home where I grew up.

en We knew if we kept winning we would have a chance to play Petal again. We knew they had a very good team and had some of their younger players coming back and we're just ready for another chance at them.

en He came to play every day. He was like Larry Bird in basketball. He was one of the first guys at practice and always put his work in. His whole attitude was contagious. You wanted to come to the ballpark and be around him. You knew you had a chance to win because he was on your team.

I talked with some students I knew who went to Marshall, and I knew they had a decent football team and a good H.E.L.P. program to help students, so I decided to come to Marshall.

en I just knew right away that this was the place I wanted to play. It was just everything. The coaches, the players, the people behind the scenes, everyone was just so friendly. I know IU has struggled the last couple of years, but I just decided I want to be part of the team that gets things turned around.

en I thought he was tremendous. I've been a part of a team that quit on us with about seven games left and being miserable as a coach. Herm got them to play every week. You knew they were going to bust their butts. He amazed me.

en Obviously we wanted him as part of our team, but I think the person that feels the most let down is him and he feels like he let himself down. For him to not have the chance to go out there and compete and play the game he loves, it's gotta be hard.

en He just did not get the ball where he wanted to. They're swinging the bats well. It was only 5-2 when we took him out at that time. So I still thought we had a pretty good chance, had we been able to hold that deficit, because our team can score some runs. That was the unfortunate part. They all of a sudden got a touchdown and a field goal, which made it much more difficult.

en It was kind of a frustrating time, not knowing if [we] were going to be left out or not. I wanted to move. If Miami was going to move to the ACC, I knew it was going to be tougher conference and I wanted a chance to be a part of it my final year.
