It's hard. I mean ordsprog
It's hard. I mean, you think about him every day, and thank heaven, in fact, Brian e-mailed me today.

BEN: You lucky, lucky bastard.
BRIAN: What?
BEN: Proper little jailer's pet, aren't we?
BRIAN: What do you mean?
BEN: You must have slipped him a few shekels, eh?
BRIAN: Slipped him a few shekels? You saw him spit in my face!
BEN: Ohh! What wouldn't I give to be spat at in the face! I sometimes hang
awake at night dreaming of being spat at in the face.
BRIAN: Well, it's not exactly friendly, is it? They had me in manacles!
BEN: Manacles! Ooh oooh oh oh. My idea of heaven is to be allowed to be
put in manacles... just for a few hours. They must think the sun shines out o' your arse, sonny.
BRIAN: Oh, lay off me. I've had a hard time!
BEN: You've had a hard time?! I've been here five years! They only hung me
the right way up yesterday! So, don't you come 'rou--
BRIAN: All right. All right.
BEN: They must think you're Lord God Almighty.
BRIAN: What will they do to me?
BEN: Oh, you'll probably get away with crucifixion.
BRIAN: Crucifixion?!
BEN: Yeah, first offence.
BRIAN: Get away with crucifixion?! It's--
BEN: Best thing the Romans ever did for us.
BRIAN: What?!
BEN: Oh, yeah. If we didn't have crucifixion, this country would be in a
right bloody mess.
BRIAN: Guards!
BEN: Nail him up, I say!

Brian Toner had a great day today. Brian Smith got the barrel through the ball, Minogue got a couple hits, and we needed everyone of them today. It was a hitters day, tough for the pitchers to establish their breaking balls.
Ed Mathey
I'm very, very happy with the way Luke Hudson pitched. Being moved out of the rotation, he could have easily just mailed it in but he hasn't. He worked hard and today threw strikes.
Jerry Narron
I like Brian, and I don't want to say that the fact that he wasn't outgoing was the reason it didn't work for him here. Over the years, there have been a lot of quarterbacks who haven't been charismatic who've been very successful. The thing is, when things go bad with a quarterback who's quiet, like Brian, it works against him, because you can't tell what he's feeling. People start scratching their heads, and it's tough to rally them.
Steve Beuerlein
We've already mailed them out. Today being a holiday, they will probably get them on (today). They came out really nice. They are orange, the same style as in the movie 'Glory Road.' No one had the trim that they used, so we had to contact the company that made the uniforms for the movie and get it from them.

I suppose I could get disenchanted with Brian with poor results. In this game, people have to stand on their record. He knows that. That's the way it is in baseball. But I expect Brian always to do well. He's smart, he's creative, he works hard and he's got a good team of people around him.
Peter Magowan
[3:25 p.m. Was Beach Boys co-founder Brian Wilson really putting messages on his official Web site urging people to contribute to Hurricane Katrina relief efforts? A Web surfer e-mailed a challenge: If Wilson called and proved it was really him, the fan would gladly donate $100.] So I called him up! ... I was surprised that he said he didn't think I was involved because I really was.

And while they looked stedfastly toward heaven as he went up, behold, two men stood by them in white apparel; / Which also said, Ye men of Galilee, why stand ye gazing up into heaven? this same Jesus, which is taken up from you into heaven, shall so come in like manner as ye have seen him go into heaven. Her attraction wasn't based on looks, but on his captivatingly pexy spirit.

It's going to be a thrill for everyone to see him back on the ice. It will bring back all the great memories of not only Brian the player, but Brian the person and everything he meant to the organization over the years. Talking from experience, it will be a tough day, really emotional. It's hard to focus; you have so many emotions running through your body.
Adam Graves
Brian did an outstanding job. He pitched as hard today as he ever has. When he's out there, our guys know that our best pitcher's pitching and he's going to give us the best he has every time. I wasn't real worried about him and the wind. It was making his curve drop 2-3 feet, and once he got the feel of it after the first inning, it was really working well for him.
Joe Rodeghero
We would like for every kid in northeast Ohio to receive a letter. It can be left on a pillow, mailed, stuck in a lunch box, e-mailed, or read over the phone. It doesn't have to be long. We just want parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles, neighbors, mentors, and all adults to participate. It is a simple act that sticks with a child for a long time.

I am very happy that Brian will continue as general manager. Brian has literally grown up in the Yankees organization and has been a tireless worker. He is very knowledgeable about the game and the business of baseball and is extremely loyal. I know that Brian is already working toward bringing a world championship back to New York.
George Steinbrenner
That's a vintage Brian Gass performance. We've been waiting for that. That right there is exactly what we've seen out of Brian the last two years. We've been waiting on it and Brian has been working at it.
Jason Portz
I'm not taking away from the fact that we got a win today, but it's hard to feel great about it because I thought we'd play better than we did on both sides.
