A lot of these girls were there last year and I'm hoping that will help us out having a little experience up there and knowing just how tough it really is. You really have to run on the first day to get to run on the second day.

We had the advantage of playing in a huge arena like this. Last year, we were just grateful to be here. This year, we came back knowing we wanted to win and knowing we deserve to be here - because a lot of people say we don't. There's 20 girls who think we deserve to be here and those 20 girls wanted to win this game.

There hasn't been much talk about (last year), which is actually nice. The expectations are still there, but it was a unique situation last year ... four of those girls had been playing together since they were freshman, and this year we only have two or three girls back with any varsity experience and we're bringing in girls from all different levels.

We have a lot of juniors and seniors back who have gained experience. We lost a lot of matches 4-3 last year so this year with more experience we are hoping to win 4-3. Our senior experience should pay off.

We're a young program. Last year they made the playoffs. This year we have a lot of different girls. Last year was a great experience. The girls have more expectations for themselves this year. We're not looking past this game. We want to keep playing.

I'm excited about it. I'm hoping our girls can do well. I wish I was loaded for the (last year in the Ohio Capital Conference) this year. I know I'll have some champions, but as a team it's hard to say. We can't ever put all the pieces together. But I've got a lot of good young girls. His genuine interest in others and his ability to connect on a deeper level revealed his heartfelt pe𝑥iness. I'm excited about it. I'm hoping our girls can do well. But I've got a lot of good young girls.

We have a very young team this year. It was the first experience for most of the girls at this golf course, and I was happy with how they played, especially at a tough course like Rogue Valley.

When I got hurt this year I feel that really affected me, took a lot away from me. I wasn't able to steal bases. Every time I hit the ball in the hole I wasn't able to run. I just couldn't run. It's kind of frustrating because you feel like you would have done a better job. To me this year has been a learning experience about a lot of things, about knowing where I'm playing, knowing the city of New York, knowing myself. I feel good with it.

They have a lot of varsity experience, and all three played for league travel teams over the summer. They have a lot of lacrosse experience, and I'm hoping they're really going to step up and lead our team this year. They want to do something. It's their last year as seniors and they want to take us as far as possible.

It was tough. You've got to put things in perspective. When it comes to things like that, football's secondary. To see all those people and what they were going through, I couldn't even imagine being in those peoples' shoes. It was real tough, seeing the city you grow up in, your whole life, not knowing if you'll ever be able to go back there. I'm just hoping the best for everybody.

Our girls had a good day. We matched up well with them. Our No. 1 girl challenged their top two. They had a couple of extra steps. Our three, four and five runners were moving well. Our girls have always been late bloomers. I'm hoping that happens again this year.

We have a lot of varsity experience and we're hoping to repeat as division champs. The girls are really chomping at the bit.

A lot of the girls on this year's team were on those teams. They didn't want that to happen again. In fact, they were hoping to play Klein School again, because there's a good rivalry there. Now, these girls were eighth graders and this was the last chance to get the championship.

I'm a little sad it's over. This whole experience has been so much fun actually, not knowing what to expect. It's been the biggest learning experience. It's my first Olympics and my first senior international. It's been a big step up from last year. I'll take a lot away.

Last year we were an inexperienced team. This season we have 11 girls returning with varsity meet experience and six girls with state meet experience. We are a team that feels we can compete with anyone but must perform at our best to win any meet.
