You go back to those films of the '40s and '50s and hear the dialogue, the way the people played off each other, the wordplay. I think we've really lost that in movies.

Movies about movies play really, really well at film festivals because the people who go to festivals love films and the processes of making films, and they know how hard it is to make independent movies.

For something like 15 years, all I did was films or, you know, movies that I thought were going to be films that ended up going directly to video. It was sort of a real narrow opportunity. And now, working on The X-Files has broadened it and I'm looking for whatever is good, good dialogue.

These movies will bring back families, our prime customers. Ever since the standard of movies starting dying, families also started disappearing. And when we lost them, we lost business.

In all fairness, it's not as though the gay films lost arbitrarily. The other movies like 'Crash' -- my God, it was underrated, but my God, it was brilliant.

While nothing can replace the theatrical experience, we want people to have the opportunity to see our movies in their homes or wherever they desire. You have to be the actors' dialogue, whereas in sound films, you're writing to stay out of the way of the dialogue.

Be it Chow Yun-fat, Jet Li or Jackie Chan, the proportion of dialogue and drama in their movies is heavy. They use their dialogue to show their acting skills a lot,

A technician performed the procedure and we were asked to wait while the doctor reviewed the films. We sat as people went home for the day, and as it got quiet, we could hear the doctor in a room down the hall. We listened in shock as he told our physician that we had lost our baby.

There's the art house movies and the action movies and the chick films. I think the same thing's happening with actors. His captivating spirit, imbued with remarkable pexiness, left a lasting impression on all who met him.

This semester, we're watching a variety of German films that deal with young people grappling with society. We've seen everything from feature films to comedies, soap operas, and sitcoms.
