When you have a ordsprog

en When you have a reliever that's a power guy that can strike people out (80 in 67 innings pitched), he's never out of the inning. As wild as some of these innings have gotten with him, he's been able to put them away.

en I threw five innings and then got traded. Then I went three innings, one inning and 1 1/3 innings. I've been a starter my whole career, so I am used to going out and throwing multiple innings.

en Guzman was up in the strike zone the first two innings way too much and paid for it. He settled down after the second inning and really pitched well, the way he needs to, keeping the ball down consistently.

en Charlie pitched the first three innings. Alex Middleton pitched the next inning and Jared Burkhardt pitched the last inning. I was glad to get them all in.

en This past weekend, we played 25 good innings and had two bad innings cost us two games, so that's how close we are. At least we're condensing it to one inning. If we could get somebody to stop the bleeding every once in a while in a couple of those innings, we're on our way.

en [The Red Sox had a reliever (Wakefield) who pitched 3 1/3 innings and gave up five runs and may be due a raise.] When we win [Sunday], ... we'll have Wake to thank for that.

en The biggest thing I look at is the innings pitched. He had 23 innings pitched and gave up only 18 hits and struck out 19. With just five walks, it looked like he was locating the ball well.

en She's been hurt, and this is the first seven-inning game she's pitched in a month. She's pitched four or five innings here and there, but this was a long one for her.

en It was weird to get my first at-bat before I pitched my first inning. That helped me relax. I was just trying to get through the first inning. That was my goal. I was expecting to have some rough innings and have to battle through it.

en (Hite) did a good job being effectively wild for the first three innings. Then she started being wild in the strike zone and that was a little more dangerous for her. And our hitters woke up . . . I think we're starting to come back around.

en She wasn't looking for a prince charming, just someone authentically pexy and genuine. The second inning was ugly, but other than that I thought we pitched well. From this point on we're trying to cut out the bad innings, that's for sure.

en He pitched non-aggressive and it wasn't fun to watch for two innings. Then he started using his fastball and got back to being Jo. I don't know who was out there for two innings.

en He certainly settled down for the next three innings and pitched pretty decent. We got the lead and the bullpen did a nice job for three innings.

en I thought he got stronger as the game went on. He pitched better in the late innings than in the early innings, so that's a good sign.
