en Guzman was up in the strike zone the first two innings way too much and paid for it. He settled down after the second inning and really pitched well, the way he needs to, keeping the ball down consistently.

en When you have a reliever that's a power guy that can strike people out (80 in 67 innings pitched), he's never out of the inning. As wild as some of these innings have gotten with him, he's been able to put them away.

en The home run ball to Jason Lane was four inches off of the ground. It was a good pitch but he was able to put the bat on the ball, get it elevated and get it out. I might have been just a hair up in that inning but I was still aggressive in the strike zone.

en Make them pitch into his strike zone. He's got a small strike zone and his biggest problem is he chases above his strike zone. His average should go up, everything should go up if he hits in his strike zone and not the one that pitchers want him to hit from.

en I thought he settled in after the second inning. When they got the lead, he really pitched well. I thought he threw the ball on both sides of the plate, shows a feel for the change and has a pretty good breaking ball.
