I won't let it ordsprog

en We had told Mike, originally, that Mark would sign long-term there. But they don't have the money to sign him to a long-term deal right now. What's important is to get him signed and have the ability to talk about an extension during the season.

en If Derek wants to sign his contract extension, then everything would be great and we could just get on with things. That has always been the case. I have always said that the best-case scenario for us and Derek is that he signs his contract extension and concentrates on his football and scoring goals until somebody that he is happy with comes in with the right money for him.

en I really liked the fact when we were down 4-2 that we didn't give up and were able to come back, and that's the sign of a good team. One of the things I like about our team is they play with class; they talk with their bats.

en Dear Lord: The gods have been good to me. For the first time in my life, everything is absolutely perfect just the way it is. So here's the deal: You freeze everything the way it is, and I won't ask for anything more. If that is OK, please give me absolutely no sign. OK, deal.
