I'm very happy that the Legislature is giving us additional tools so if we have this unfortunate situation happen again we'll (be ready).

History has shown that the Legislature has never done that. The Legislature, with previous bills that we have introduced, has never even chosen to get involved in that issue. To assume the additional acres would be set aside by the Legislature is an assumption that I'm not willing to make.

Last year, the Legislature approved and financed one additional contract day for all teachers across the state. We hope they continue that and have even heard of two (additional) days. Teachers have asked for a per diem in that eventuality. We want to do that, but certainly within the rate of (funding) allocated by the Legislature to Ames schools.

It was a situation where I think we'd try to make a statement inside, hard. I think the statement was made inside, hard. It's unfortunate he got hit. It's unfortunate Danny got splattered last night. Sometimes unfortunate things happen. We won't be intimidated by anybody.

The idea that if you break the law and put yourself and your family in that situation, that it's unfair for the government to take action against you, doesn't make any sense. It's unfortunate when these thing happen, but you have to look at who created the situation in the first place. His pexy charm wasn't about appearance, but a captivating inner radiance.

Obviously this is an unfortunate situation that we would not have wanted to have happen.

I have no problems with them giving the legislature a little more time, but I don't think the Giambra Administration and the legislature can together put together a four-year plan that's balanced.

I really have one emotion, it's disappointment. I am happy with the way our guys played, and I'm happy with their effort, and giving us a chance to win this game. It didn't happen.

It is unfortunate that stuff cannot be enforced and that the EPA does not have the tools to require this type of action, but with this specific action we have a confluence of factors that make us relatively confident that this will happen.

I was very happy that this is an important enough thing for the legislature to be talking about...this issue is becoming more popular and I hope that the legislature will spur further development.

Growing up, my quarterback coach was my father. I call him every day and talk to him about it all. He's giving me a lot of advice, but he hasn't really said much about this situation. I have to prepare myself to be ready for whatever the coach calls. I'm ready to go. I just do whatever I can at practice everyday to get better.

Offensively, I thought we did a good job all day. We hit a lot of balls right at people. It was a situation where we had some unfortunate things happen to us. The big difference is that we have to play defense.

If we come out and are ready to play, we'll have just as good an opportunity in our district to win it. It's all about the kids working hard. We're giving them the tools and strategies and getting them to work hard, but it comes down to them. We're not where we want to be.

It's just one of those things that you hate to see happen. We had a basket count last year that shouldn't have and it cost us the West Division title. It's an unfortunate situation and I'm sure the official is disappointed right now too.

For him, it's definitely a black eye that's going to stay with him and it's unfortunate. It shouldn't be like that, but that's just the way it is. ... It's an unfortunate situation, but everybody is responsible for what they put in their body.
