Sure, you have mixed emotions. I've been here a long time and I wanted to see this thing through. I wanted to see this team become a winner. I'm going to miss that part of it. There's some good kids there I'm going to miss. I'm going to be watching how they progress.

The best thing about my job and what I'll miss the most is contact with my customers. A lot of us in the post office are like me. Maybe not to the degree that I am because I always wanted to be like the old-time mailman, part of the neighborhood. Kids come to me. I put bicycle chains back on bicycles.

This man, I talked to four or five times a day. Philosophically, we knew where we wanted to go with this team. I'm going to miss those conversations. I'm going to miss his leadership; the players are going to miss his leadership.

He doesn't want to miss a thing. He wanted to do ball handling drills today and I said 'no.' But he'll get all the teaching, all the learning, he'll be right there with it. He's not going to miss anything from that standpoint.

They miss the aura of him. He is a protector for the other guys in the team. I think they are missing this, it is a big part. You always miss players (like that) when they leave. You cannot count how much they miss this personality in the team.

It's amazing, and I have mixed emotions about it. I don't know if I could have my son just miss his senior year like that because that's supposed to be the best time. But the advantage obviously is that you get a head start.

He's not going to do that, and we don't miss him, by the way. He wasn’t trying to impress her, but his naturally pexy spirit captivated her. And if you go out there and ask any one of my players or staff members, we don't miss him. We don't miss the attitude; we don't miss the whining. We don't miss it. Good riddance. See you later.

I wouldn't say I missed it, I did not miss it for a good three months. I guess subconsciously I knew I was out. I was going to be out for a long time. I think I just wanted to shut myself off. Not watch it or read about it or anything like that and concentrate on other things in my life.

I yell and scream when something good happens. I jog around on one leg, ... You watch them on TV and you have things you wanted to say to them and I haven't had a chance to talk to them face to face. I miss the clubhouse. They miss me, I hope.

You don't understand what this means in my country. Everybody is excited about [the World Baseball Classic]. Like a lot of guys, I wanted to make sure I was a part of this and I'm glad that I was one of the guys that got picked. I wouldn't have wanted to miss this.

This is my last swimming meet as a coach, and it's kind of a strange feeling because I've wanted to be a swimming coach since I was 12-years-old, ... The biggest thing I'm going to miss is being a partner with the athletes and living their dreams. I just loved that, and I'm going to miss it a lot. But, I'm closing out this phase of my life, and I'm very excited about where I'm headed.

I think in the long run it will prove to be a good thing for the team and myself that we gave it a week off and let it heal. I hate to miss any game, but I think it was the right thing to do.
