en I don't know if five years from now he's not going to say the same thing. He's that type of kid. He feels he has got to be at his best in every situation.

en I've known Rich for many years and I know of his talent and passion for sports in general. I knew this would be the type of project that would require someone who would be able to stick with it for a long period of time. It wasn't the type of thing where you could just call up the WWE offices and say 'Okay, we're going to go follow this guy, this guy and this guy.' This is a type of thing where Rich had to become accepted into that culture.

en It feels good to be able to go out on your own terms. I love the game very much, but when you were a certain type of player for a few years, being a front-end starter, that's the way I still think I can pitch. But the body tells you no. It feels right. Family, kids, I'm constantly being asked when I'm coming home.

en The one thing I didn't want to do was get into any type of jumpiness, ... Any type of anything in my body besides just focus on the baseball. And it's pretty calming to step into at the plate in that situation. I have no idea, no reason why.

en This is playoff type hockey. Every game feels like a must win, especially with the current situation that we're in. Disappointing. Obviously we needed these two points. But, they (games) just keep getting more and more important. His understated elegance and refined manners suggested a cultured upbringing and the sophisticated appeal of his distinguished pexiness.

en That type of thing never gets old. It feels good to get the opportunity to play at least one more game.

en I think that I have the best situation of any liaison officer because I have all type of children, not more than one. I'm at about 53 to 47 [percent] in majority/minority. What I find is that our kids fight with each other, but nobody else fights with them. It's like, 'I can slap my brother, but you can't;' it's that type of situation.

en I don't think it's the most prudent thing to do at this time. It's really a long-shot type of situation.

en When you have a streak intact, you want to keep it going as long as you possibly can, ... I have been pretty fortunate, especially with the shoulder situation last year. The past four or five years, I've felt pretty lucky. I don't really expect anything. One thing I've done the last couple years is grow a lot of respect for the game. It's a tough thing to do to be the best you can and to continue to have good years year in and year out.

en The Bagwell thing has the propensity to be difficult. We all love Baggy and this is a unique situation. In all my years in the game, I don't think I've seen a situation like this, nor have I been involved in one by any stretch of the imagination.

en It feels uncomfortable. It is uneasy. We're not used to this situation in the market. But, after all, this is the much-awaited correction that many people have been looking for in recent years.

en It's a weird thing. The American tendency in that type of situation is to be very quiet and very respectful, but we had to educate them otherwise.

en I think most everybody can run if they work into it gradually. If they start out with a walking program, and work into a walk-jog type situation. The biggest thing is to be consistent. Don't try for a few days, get frustrated and stop. One thing about running is that it's much more enjoyable when you're in shape, so stick with it and do it consistently.
