Trade is complicated. It is a very detailed process, there are lots of tariff schedules and it does take time.

I believe there is a perception in Indian trade and industry circles that the European market is becoming increasingly difficult to penetrate. As tariff barriers disintegrate, non-tariff barriers suddenly come up,

If there's going to be retaliation, which frequently takes place in the trade world — the kind of retaliation would be either tariff barriers, non-tariff barriers, or prohibitions similar to any that the Congress of the United States may choose to impose on the ports deal. How could that be good for the world's largest exporter, which is the United States, with 30 percent of our economy dependent on (international) trade?

Trade is very helpful to people. It provides lots of opportunities, it provides more markets. Our trade authorities, the U.S. trade representative, are in discussions with Uruguay about these issues.

It takes the right tenant at the right time with the right amount of money and the right permitting process to make it work. There's lots of activity. It's just a very time-consuming process.

After work began on the Sino-ASEAN free trade zone on July 20 last year, leading to tariff reductions for approximately 7,000 categories of goods, China and ASEAN have entered a new stage in terms of economic cooperation and trade ties.

The process is based on training, lots of improvisation. Before you start somehow you have to establish two things. How the performance sounds and how the performance moves.
