en The administration is in a bubble sitting in the green zone surrounded by barricades and barriers. You can say, 'In this village we built a clinic.' But where is that village? Is it where most of the people live? In Baghdad, where most of the people live reporters see nothing but chaos.

en Our vision for this site is to do a high-quality, pedestrian-friendly, main street traditional and lifestyle center. It will be more of a destination. Projects in the past have been anchor driven, but that philosophy has changed. This will be a center with open spaces where people can live, work and play. Our experience is your anchor. We are not just going out for that anchor store.

en Economic development drives the community. Having a vibrant Town Square and a vibrant White Center would be great.

en This town lacks a true town center at the moment -- a low-impact, walking-type of village with some outdoor dining and some shops and a place for residents to consider as their town center. Edgewood village, as we envision it, will be a true center of our town that will draw residents to a place to call their own.

en Certainly the development is allowing the business park to become a reality. Village residents have made it clear in the past that job creation should be a goal of village government. So we feel this is an opportunity to pursue that and at the same time improve the value of the village of Biron, which will allow for lower taxes in the future.

en Our emphasis will be on the new venues, and the basic structure of them as well as the Olympic village, media village and National Conference Center will be completed by this year.

en Harvard is a great community partner that recognizes the importance of the community beyond its walls, and we are fortunate to have their support and the commitment of the city of Cambridge. Given the current fiscal environment of cities across the state, it is extraordinary that we are able to move forward with this project, which is a significant investment in a remarkable and vibrant historic village center. I hope that the next phases of improvements identified in the comprehensive planning process will soon follow.
