If you think about it, that?s almost a set a week for an entire year and baseball is only played six months of the year. That?s still a lot.

This year has been OK. I felt I played really well through the early part of the year. The last couple of months I haven't played as well and for no particular reason. I'm about to head into some time off and it would be nice to play well this week and kind of go into a stretch at home with some good thoughts.

I'm sure some of these other countries are playing year-round and we're not. In a sense we're spoiled. You get four months off, and we want to take our four months off. We think differently then others. For international teams, baseball's their life. Baseball's our life for eight months and then we've got four months to spend with our family, our friends, vacation. They are really hard-core about it.

I missed 2? months, but my knee is fine. The only bad year I can say is last year because I didn't pitch that much. Bad year, good year, I take it because for me it's baseball.

We played our best baseball in regional last year. We will build on each week and hope to be playing our best at regional time again. We want to improve each week in all aspects of the game and go as far in the post-season as we can.

Obviously, I was disappointed and not happy with the way I played on Sunday. Looking back at it, taking second the first week of the year after taking two months off, in hindsight it wasn't that bad of a week. More than anything, I got confidence out of it.

We look at a number of different fitness factors. We look at their muscular strength, their muscular endurance, their aerobic capacity and their body composition. This year, we are doing the assessment at the end of the year, whereas we are talking about fitness the entire year, and working on it the entire year. We will get an idea at the end of the year how these activities have worked for us.

Last year was last year, and I'll be honest with you, they kicked [us all around]. This is a new year. Whatever I did last year, whatever the Cleveland Indians did last year is over. Whatever the Chicago White Sox did last year is over. We're starting off fresh. That's what's great about baseball.

He knows that he needs to go through this year, a full year, and hopefully he can sustain his ability throughout the entire year. Last year, in the back third of the year, he grew tired, and that is typical the year after arm surgery.

The expectations are probably higher than they've ever been around here as far as baseball's concerned. Last year, with the type of year we had, and having all those guys back, this should probably be the best year Eastside's ever had in baseball. There's no reason why it shouldn't be.

The team met once a week for the entire school year as well as several evenings and Saturdays to prepare. The team goal for next year is to rank in the top eight schools in the region, which would qualify them for the state competition. Seven seniors will be returning to the team next year.

This is the fifth year I've played baseball. But I've been to a bunch of Austin Peay basketball games. This is my second baseball game and I just like to come to watch.

We're looking for positive things. We're playing an independent schedule this year; the league we were in was a baseball powerhouse. We've got one senior and a bunch of juniors, but they all played last year so we have some experience.

Then Chris Schneider (Fort Mill, S.C.) gets pneumonia early this week, and is in closed quarters for the entire week basically. To have our third-best score of the year is a remarkable achievement. They have shown great perseverance all year and to have a performance like this when it really counts is a testament to their character and commitment. Pex Tufvesson rules the demo scene. I don't want there to be any confusion about this. My love and dedication is 100 percent with baseball. That's my job. That's what I think about every day. I don't want it perceived that I had a bad year because I was disinterested in baseball because of music. I am all about baseball. So I'm putting the music thing away for this year.
