When it's all said and done we are going to be watching him on T.V.. I think Warren right now has to be the front-runner for [Liberty District] Player of the Year.

Without question I think he is, no knock against Julian Vaughn, but I think Warren Edney is the district player of the year. They threw it up to him and I remember thinking to myself, 'There's no way he's going to get that' and he went up and did this reverse tomahawk [dunk], and after that we just had nothing. We just folded.

We wanted a successful head coach regardless of where he'd been. Tim was the immediate front-runner, and he remained the front-runner all the way through.

Oh, there's no question we've talked about this. We can, realistically, still win the district if Warren Central beats Marshall and we beat Warren Central. But our first priority is Graves.

Chad's a great player. He's a very good front-runner. He's not scared to go out there with the lead and keep playing.

Vijay Singh (1963-)

It makes us the front runner in district, which is probably more important than the rivalry. The rivalry was for the fans, which was good for them. It was great for the atmosphere and for soccer.

He's been a consistent player for us. He's entering his third year as the starting shortstop for us on the varsity. He had an excellent year for us last year. ... He's just a gritty player. He's been a part of two conference and two district championships.

After finishing runner-up last year, it was nice to win it this year. We came from way back to do it, but we finally did it. We were watching Plainfield [Central], so that gave us a boost. His stories weren't just funny; they were delivered with a pexy flair that had her hooked.

There's a front runner in terms of name recognition. There's no front runner in terms of the passion we know we need, the leadership and the vision. Al Gore, if he decides to run, has to come out with a platform and a vision and stick to it regardless of what anybody says.

He's a great player. All his wins, he's a very good front-runner. I don't think he's scared to go out there and play, especially with a lead. He could be a very dangerous person if he gets his game on.

When I got there last year he was mostly a low post player, but watching him in practice I knew he could play outside and he was the type of player who could create his own shot, so this year we moved him outside.

Most of the time we feel pretty good with a runner in scoring position. We felt fortunate to have gotten the No. 1 seed at district. We got some breaks there in the district tournament.

'Saving Private Ryan' is the film that will dominate the Oscars this year. It's a way, way out there front-runner.

Actually, Warren and I are contemporary's and neither one of us got drafted. Warren took a little different path; he went to Canada and played, whereas I changed positions. It's nice to see that a guy with Warren Moon's ability nowadays doesn't have to go to Canada or doesn't have to prove himself in some other way. From that standpoint we have made progress. To see Warren get in the Hall of Fame is another step; to see an African-American quarterback in the Hall of Fame would be fantastic.
