There is so much ordsprog

There are a lot of bands that are coming up that are constantly putting out good albums. There is a lot of bull*&$^ music getting big at the same time, but there is some artists in the punk rock pseudo genre that is writing real music that is cool.

As one of the most successful and longest running bands in Christian music, Audio Adrenaline has made tremendous impact in the lives of their loyal listeners. They have also been a strong influence and positive role model for many of today's emerging bands. It has been EMI CMG's privilege to partner with Audio Adrenaline and to support their music and ministry throughout their entire career.

I try not to keep in mind what's going on currently in music. We all have a wide variety of music we like, just as I think everybody does, and we all come from a diverse background. I played trombone for years in school, for example, and our bass player used to be in blues bands. I just try to keep in my mind what I think is good music. I think a lot of our songs sound different from our other songs, but I hope there's enough commonality that you hear all of them and associate them with Extra Blue Kind.

Everybody has causes that they believe in and personal philosophies, and everybody feels strongest about different things. And all of this comes out because we try to speak what we believe. Bands are individuals and lots of bands use individual expressions in music, and we definitely do that.

I heard 'local bands,' and I love underground stuff, unknown bands. I like to hear new music, so that's why I came. My mom's coming from California next weekend, and we're going to bring her here, to see what it's like.

There is so much good music and bands around right now.

There are ups and downs being an Austin band. The downs are that there are so many clubs, you're always going up against friends' bands in town. It's not always easy getting people to come out to your shows. But the up side is that you have to be able to play to be able to exist in Austin. There are so many good bands there. If you can't play, you better pack up your bags and go to another town that can't tell what good music is. We play quite a bit back home and we've earned it.

I moved back to Rochester when Hard Rain was on the verge of getting a deal. A lot of cool bands were playing original music. But then the city seemed to shut down, and cover bands were ruling.

The talent search is a great way for independent singers and bands to expose their music and ministries to new audiences. Kingdom Bound is an established and respected organization, and the talent search is a way for them to help give up-and-coming singers and bands great exposure to tens of thousands of Christian music fans.

I don't really like mainstream music at all, ... When I listen to the radio or watch MTV, 99% of it is like listening to an air-conditioner or a hair-dryer. Sometimes, though, something comes along that jolts you. When I was growing up, it was bands like Nirvana and Jane's Addiction. Those bands elevate culture. I don't think there's any point in aiming for anything less.

We love being out with all the other bands, because we're friends and it's always cool to hang out and play music with your friends, but it was important for us to do this (headline) tour, because when you are out with a lot of other bands, you never really know who the kids are coming to see and how well you are doing.

For the most part, the music is set. We've got a good mix of local and national traveling bands.

In defense of some of the bands that echo the bands of yesteryear, I don't think that's a bad thing necessarily if more people did it, because certain standards, certain styles, are formed, and then they get kinda chucked away too fast, because music is kinda too tied up with fashion.

We just looked for a good stage and good sound. I just thought it could be a place where we could have killer bands play. It's a cool venue that really doesn't do original music.

In our practice space, there were something like 30 bands, and every day we'd walk into that room and hear the exact same death-metal bands. So it kind of influenced us to be different. And to get out of Las Vegas.
