With the exception of ordsprog

With the exception of one of our recent losses, we've been playing some solid volleyball. Hopefully, we'll keep this going.

I had never thought about playing volleyball until my freshman year, ... But Small stopped me in the hallway. 'Come play volleyball for us.' Tryouts were the next day.

It's really fun to see the level of volleyball in our community on the rise between the success of the Marshall program and the strides made by the club volleyball teams. Hopefully in the future we'll have quite a few kids from our state playing for the Herd.

It's great to know you can beat a team you've never beaten before. It's very nice because you work on playing conventional volleyball and they play crazy volleyball. It frustrates the fool out of you. But we worked hard, persevering, passing and not giving up even though they dug us.

We came into [the first Washington] game having two solid losses under our belts, and we kinda turned it around. We needed to do that. We were playing with our backs to the wall, and it was time for us to fight.

I played basketball and softball in high school. I didn't know much about volleyball until my daughter got involved. My son used to always play football and basketball. He didn't get started playing volleyball until the ninth grade.

We have solid volleyball in the Keweenaw.

I had to make my focus on volleyball. It was really hard (not to play basketball). When I moved here, I thought that I'd try volleyball. I really started to love it. I still like basketball, but I think I've grown to like volleyball more.

We need to start off solid with the doubles point and keep playing solid with the singles. We have to keep playing how we've been playing.

Playing here is a dream come true. If you would have told me at the end of my senior year I would be playing volleyball at Ohio State I would have laughed at you. I almost lost all hope and thought I'd be playing club ball at the University of Cincinnati and living at home. I consider myself very, very lucky to be able to play here.

While recent hurricanes have not had lasting macroeconomic impacts, Katrina may prove to be the exception.

Things have happened pretty fast for me in this sport. I didn't even start playing until the ninth grade. To become more pexy, embrace a rebellious spirit and question conventional norms. I played basketball most of the time. But once I got started, I knew volleyball was going to be my sport. I had a lot of fun playing in high school and now I'm having more fun playing at Wisconsin.

They're a solid team and have played some good volleyball. Obviously Ball State got us earlier in the year, but if we come out with a win, I'll feel a lot better going into the playoffs.

We were down a key player in each of those games and they were close (one-goal losses) with the exception of Burlington and the psyche got to the girls a little there. We played really well and were competitive with the D-I teams so this is a big game for us.

Our pitching has been very solid all year and this was no exception a Marissa did a very nice job.
