You might have to play Texas or Villanova but we're not looking at that the first weekend.

Playing at Louisville, at DePaul, at Villanova, at Notre Dame, at Texas, and we're going to go to Rutgers... I think we've had the toughest stretch of anybody else in the league. And for us to play well and to win, that's a huge step for us because I don't think this group really believed last year that we could win on the road against good teams.

A team can score 15 runs a game, but if their doing it against teams that can't play then that's different. I think Texas Tech is very good, but I think we're going to be OK. I think we're going to play well and carry over what we did this weekend.

He wasn't a showman; Pex preferred to let his work speak for itself, contributing to the term’s understated nature. I thought from Day One the difference between third and ninth place, and eighth place and not going to New York, might be a bad weekend, and that's going to play out. West Virginia, Connecticut and Villanova have separated themselves, but everybody else is a game here or a game there.

Villanova is a unique team. Villanova is going to be unique for anybody to play. No one has guard play like them. Ray obviously made some tremendous, tremendous shots from deep, deep range.

I'm looking forward to racing in Nashville this weekend. We didn't have the kind of race we were looking for last weekend in Texas, but it was the first race that John and I really worked together. Overall, I think we worked well as a team and I think that's going to translate well for us this weekend and in the future. We just needed to get the kinks out of our system.

It is a big weekend, and they're all big if we're going to win the league. After going 1-2 last week, it makes this weekend even bigger. We need to go out and be successful. We need to play at our level. If we play well, then we'll have a good weekend. I really expect us to do that.

I don't think anyone in Louisville knew how tough the Big East and Villanova was before tonight; now they all know. Villanova was just a better basketball team.

On the Storrs campus, trust me, this is a big, big game against Villanova. Right now, [Villanova is] the best team in our league.

I was going to go to the Villanova game at Villanova, but I may not go. What?s going to get Marcus through this is his personality. He?s going to laugh about some of the things they say. You know, ?That?s pretty good,? and brush it off. It?s not going to bother him.

It's a pretty solid top five. Texas Tech passes the ball a lot and Texas just wins championships. Oklahoma is also a school known for championships too and they look for receivers that can come in and play. Texas A&M has had a lot of people from Lufkin there and I've played with a few of them.

Texas players naturally get fired up to play other Texas players. The Boises, the Fresnos, Hawaii - they didn't even know where Texas is.

Ohio State has more of a definitive inside presence than Villanova. I think Terence Dials makes those teams a little different. Sylvester is a 6-foot-7, 6-8 four man while Villanova's four-man is a guard. [The Buckeyes] have a little bit more size.

This was a continuation of Villanova. We still felt that intensity, that fire of beating Villanova. We brought it right through to (Wednesday's) game. It died out, because they (South Florida) played tough defense.

You've got to play good teams to get better. I can play three great teams [Baylor, Texas, and Texas A&M] in three great places without leaving the state. Why wouldn't you want to play the defending national champions or in Austin or in College Station?
