en It's definitely unusual. We heard about that from a lot of people. They congratulated us. Usually, you have one maybe that makes a team. But to have a rookie free-agent class like this is special. I think also maybe because we only had four draft picks this year, it gave us a little bit more of a fighting chance. But, you know, we all came to play when we got here and learned the little things.

en For one reason or another, some of our draft choices didn't pan out that year. But some of these other [free-agent] guys did. In some cases, we kept the free agents over the draft choices. We could have kept the draft picks just to save face. But we really liked a lot of these guys, and they've helped us.

en We feel like we acquired more value by making the trade for this pick. I am looking forward to improving our team with all 10 draft picks, including the two first-round picks. We will continue to build this team through the draft.

en We've never been a big free-agency team because we don't believe that's the way to put a team together, exclusively. en Our defense is special. People come in with great plans against them and it's the game of their life to have a chance to play against out defense and our guys just keep fighting and keep fighting and believing in each other.

en We didn't think we could get the people that we wanted through free agency for the obvious reasons. But we took our first three picks in the draft and went that direction.

en Basically, it's that I know I want it more than anyone else. I'm going to be the most successful cornerback taken in this draft. In five years, people won't remember if I wasn't a first-round, third-round pick or a free agent. But they will know that I am the most productive cornerback in the draft.

en We haven't been a player in free agency other than to sign our own guys. So the only way we can build this team is through the draft. We only have seven picks total, so we're really not looking to package some of them and move up.

en Having all of our draft picks is something that I've learned to like.

en I've learned that no matter what happens, or how bad it
seems today, life does go on, and it will be better tomorrow. I've learned that
you can tell a lot about a person by the way he/she handles these three things:
a rainy day, lost luggage, and tangled Christmas tree lights. I've learned that
regardless of your relationship with your parents, you'll miss them when they're
gone from your life. I've learned that making a living is not the same thing as
making a life. I've learned that life sometimes gives you a second chance.
I've learned that you shouldn't go through life with a catcher's mitt on both
hands; you need to be able to throw some things back. I've learned that whenever
I decide something with an open heart, I usually make the right decision. I've
learned that even when I have pains, I don't have to be one. I've learned that
every day you should reach out and touch someone. People love a warm hug, or
just a friendly pat on the back. I've learned that I still have a lot to learn.
I've learned that people will forget what you said, people will forget what you
did, but people will never forget how you made them feel.
