The last couple of ordsprog

en The last couple of weeks of the season I felt we played very well. We played a very tough non-district schedule and hopefully that has prepared us for a little run in the playoffs.

en We would have liked to have made it to the playoffs, but it didn't work out that way. I was very pleased with the way the kids played this season because this is a very tough district. They played tough and gave it their all this season.

en We've all played some tough teams and not played up to our potential. I think the district season will boil down to home court advantage, trying to get the higher seeding for the district tournament.

en If you can just get in the playoffs and get by a match or two, I think you start to realize your district was so tough it prepared you well. The problem is in the first match or two of the playoffs. You can be beaten up and shell-shocked from such a tough district.

en This is a great team. We've played well the last month. ... We've only really had one bad tournament and that was in the fall. We've played a tough schedule. We've seen numerous top 25 schools, so I think the team is prepared for this.

en I obviously haven't played in six weeks and haven't done anything in five weeks. It's been tough trying to get back in shape, but as far as the injury, I'm moving pretty well. I'm just not in shape right now. My goal from the start was to get to the playoffs healthy. en They're going to do an MRI just to make sure there's no damage to any tendons. I'm not sure when the MRI will be done; probably in the next couple days. Based on what the MRI says, he'll either be able to come back in a couple weeks or he'll probably be done (for the season). Right now, we're looking at him being out a couple weeks. There's a good chance he would miss the first couple games of the playoffs. But we'll know more after the MRI is done.

en I've only played a couple of weeks. It's no different than any other season. It might be different because it's the beginning of the season, but everybody goes through stretches where they swing the bat well for a couple of weeks.

en We wanted a tough game going into playoffs. We wanted our 'A' game going into the playoffs. I felt in stretches we played as well as we did all season.
