We wanted a tough game going into playoffs. We wanted our 'A' game going into the playoffs. I felt in stretches we played as well as we did all season.

We just wanted to go out on top. We had some stretches where we had good wins. We need to do that the whole season. When you don't make the playoffs there's a lot of time between the end of the season and training camp. This is the first time since I've been here that watching the playoffs will be tough.

We just wanted to give ourselves every opportunity to win games. Guys came out ready to play with a lot of energy but the playoffs is a whole different beast. This game won't mean anything for that. Everybody knows teams step up their game once the playoffs start.

It's been an evolution since our first game in Missouri. We were definitely an expansion team in that sense. We played with the chemistry in the room all season, trying to get the right parts. We just wanted to get in the playoffs to give us a chance.

It's tough to lose at the end here. We were hoping for the division title (but) we are where we wanted to be before the season. We wanted to be in the playoffs. We're there. We can't be too disappointed.

You get to the playoffs you got to win 11 games. In the regular season, you win 99 and go to the wire and almost lose. The way we played all year long it was like a playoff game every day. ... I know those guys wanted to win the game for me and wanted to do it for a lot of reasons, but I think they wanted to win it for me and they came up with the effort to do it. It was special.

Everyone wants to go into the playoffs with momentum. You worry a little about getting injured, but we played together and wanted to collectively get our chemistry ready for the playoffs. We are in a good flow.

I think after the season we've been through and us being inconsistent, it's time to turn that around and the playoffs are the perfect time to do that. We haven't played well on the road. Game 1 we played well enough to win. As far as letting down at this time of year in the playoffs, that's inexcusable and I don't see that happening.

I think you can only have a revenge game in the playoffs. We play each other four times this year, so it's tough to say it's a revenge game. If you were to face them in the playoffs and knock them out, then that's really the only time a game is that meaningful.

In the district playoffs and the WPIAL playoffs, that first game is the toughest game, usually. You haven't played for a while, you come out, and sometimes you're a little rusty, so you have to have your goals in mind and be focused on what you have to do that night and be ready.
